I have a US b8.5 model and am installing a similar model box. Did you have to do any extra wiring to get the reverse cam to work in the manual transmission vehicle?
Hello mate , i have a problem with my retrofit , it was working all fine yesterday i couldn't connect to it , removed glove box and the lighs are flashing in the retrofit which means it is working , i thought maybe my phone network i did forget device , and search again nothing comes through it is like the signal in the retrofit is not working , does changing antenna fix the problem ? Please help .thanks
HI Mate, I've done this completely! Great video! But in the process I pulled some wires out of the harness that go back into the engine bay by mistake. Do you know where those wires go that come out of the Climate Control specifically? As in the small connector and the big connector on the Climate Control, do they both go to the ECU or does one go to the MMI? I am thinking I need to find the other source of the wires and replace the entire harness altogether. Thanks again Mate! Great video! Hope you can help my new situation out!
Hi, I’ve installed this (or a very similar device) but have two problems: 1) the device doesn’t seem to be picking up the built in microphone for phone calls or Siri 2) the top few mm of the Apple play app aren’t displaying on the screen Any ideas how to solve that?
Hey, 1- there's 2 options. In mmi box menu you can select use phone BT for calls thar will solve the issue or you can attach the mic that came in box. If your model is older than 2010 I believe you will need a mic. 2 - this issue was reported on certain models. If you don't have the adjustment setting in the mmi box then it won't be possible.

I’ve tried changing the device to “use BT phone = on” but that hasn’t solved the mic issue. There is also no mic in the box of the device I bought any ideas? 2. On the screen missing off the top of the car play app - did you mean that this is a fault with some cars or with some retrofit boxes? If the latter I could just return the box I bought and try a different one.
Hi, there’s two things you need to check. 1 - do you have MMI to aux cable in your MMI port. If you do make sure MMI is selected as source. If you don’t you need to purchase adapter. 2 - if you’ve done number 1 and there is no sound. Unplug the quad lock connector and on the original one there should be a optical sound cable in the corner. You need to remove this and place into the new quad lock which goes into back of head unit.

Yes but you won't get sound out of android auto navigation. If you want sound from android auto nav and radio then use app for radio on android auto.

I have the exact same item installed it show stuff but when I turn something on I don’t get any sound.
You need a mmi to aux adapter and plug into mmi port in audim leave aux side empty

Spotify is compatible with Apple Carplay or Android Auto within the unit so yes.
