My Grandfather, Charles Otis Griswold, was a Screaming Eagle during this conflict. I have had my mother in tears listening to this. She is and has been blown away by how great this has been done. I have been a Sabaton fan for ten years, but this has connected me with my mother. Thank you. My Grandfather might not have been a fan of the style of music, but as a warrior, he would loved it.

My grandfather fought in the Battle of the Bulge in the US Army. When the war ended in 1945, he was 21 years-old. He was also the only one in his entire unit who could speak French. He used to say that he went into the army with high school-level French and by the time the war was over, he was fluent. In fact, he spent so much time speaking French that he actually forgot words in English. He died in 2018 at the age of 94. My grandmother, who's three years younger than my grandfather, is still alive and completely mentally intact. In fact, she's become very interested in computers and it's funny to hear this 94 year-old woman (as of 2021) talk about computer components and actually understand what she's saying.
I actually visted Bastogne about 8 or so years ago with my Great grandfather. He fought in the battle as a foward artillery observer. It was a extremely emotional trip for him to go back but he was glad he got to go back before he died
I love your Screaming Eagle at the end, I haven't laughed that hard in years. Also want to thank you for mentioning the Glider Infantry. My Uncle Jimmy was killed with the 17th Airborne on January 7th, and this is the first time I have heard his outfit mentioned in public. Period. My grandfather was at Bastonge, and we only found that out at his funeral. So this one is a personal favorite of mine. Thanks again for everything you do.
I personally was friends with a veteran of Item Company, 506th parachute infantry regiment, 101st Airborne Division. He sadly has passed on, but told me of his experiences from the jump into Holland through to the end of the war. He told me that he went into Bastogne without a weapon or ammunition. Staff Sergeant Harley Dingman, from Watertown, New York, was awarded the Silver Star for heroism at Foy, Belgium, where he and 14 remaining members of his platoon covered Item Company’s fall back to Bastogne against a company of German infantry. He was the platoon leader, as all senior officers and non-coms had been killed or wounded.

I've seen the 'Awk Awk' by Indy replayed several times, including the last Sabaton History (for now,) lol, and finally, I know what sound he's trying to mimic. Amazing! I'm speechless Indy. Waiting on the next series of history and excited about going back to Sweden.
we're paratroopers we're supposed to be surrounded
Sabaton history is the best kind of history.
