I just wanted to share that, it's a common misconception that more subs mean more *volume* of bass. That's not entirely true. A second sub helps even out the dispersion of bass. Volume is a different matter that can still be calibrated thereafter. A lot of people don't invest in a second sub because they haven't truly experienced what a second sub does in the space. It gives a fuller, richer, and more evened out bass experience that undulates across the room. Just sharing since the comment wasn't about cost, but about "volume" specifically.

Just to add 1 thing. If you use a second sub, up it the back of the room or under couch if possible.. it helps the bass dispersion on the room. ;) also after any change of placement of speakers use Trueplay to set up the best sound possible.

hey adam, great video again. Yeah, a sound system's quality really does effect the quality of the audiences' experience. People don't realise how deep the SFX in most videos and movies watched in this setup are as they never actually hear it. These sonos speakers are really top notch but for the main market is WAYYYYYYYYYY to expensive. I still think bose makes the best value systems as they are top quality even in their lower end lines :)

Hi Adam , really helpful video thank you. I bought this setup and was wondering , if you set up the era 300s as rear speakers ( which disables the front speakers ) does this apply when playing just music ? Ie not playing Tv or videos ? As this would make buying them or at least having front speakers pointless. I have had the set up for some time but wasn't getting good sound. In the end I upgraded my TV and they have come to life. A lso what would you use to demo your system ? thank you.

Hi Adam, I hope you’re doing well. Thanks for the video. I really enjoyed watching it. Adam, I’m presently working on my gaming room, and my gaming room used to be a dining room, I am merely sitting at most 10 feet away from my TV. What’s the best Sonos system that you recommend for me the room is not very big by any means but I just wanted a nice Cozy little space for me. I think Sonos is a wonderful company. In regards to the television I actually purchased the Samsung S90C 65” what are your thoughts on that? I unfortunately did not have the funds for an LG G3

    • @AdamLoboTV
      @AdamLoboTV  11 месяцев назад

Hey buddy, you’re most welcome and thanks for your kind words my man. For your setup , I’d advice to start off with the Sonos Arc first and then listen for yourself if you need more surround or more bass, if it’s a little space , you probably don’t need a surround speaker or a sub, hence you can stick to just the Arc, so it depends on after you getting the Sonos Arc buddy 🙂

@@AdamLoboTV hey Adam, what do you think of the Samsung S90C? I thought it was a relatively good choice because I think I have the generation two panel that is on the Samsung S95C, so basically the two models are identical, electrically, except for the packaging, the speakers, and the one connect box. Being a new homeowner I need to be very frugal and my budget limited my expense to either a Samsung S90C or LG C3. The primary focus gaming, but my wife and I will utilize it for movies occasionally

I really want to someday get a pair of Sonos Era 300s for music in my kitchen dining area. I have a small town house, so I think for music it would be more than enough without a Sub. Don’t have a lot of floor space so I would probably mount them on walls which I’ve heard is not ideal. I am no expert though so any advice is welcome.

    • @mrgold3591
      @mrgold3591 2 месяца назад

The ERA 300 have side and up firing speakers and they might need a little space to get a fuller sound for spatial audio. It is not recommended for the ERA 300 to sit on a shelf or enclosed area. Depending on wall mount location, how open/closed the area, and ceiling type (high/low, vaulted, open 2nd floor balcony, etc..), you might need to mount the ERA 300 upside down so the upward firing speaker is firing down for spatial audio. I ended up going with an ERA 100 in my kitchen and use it for music and listening to the TV (news/sports) so I don't have crank up the TV with the ARC system 30 feet away.

Looks like dolby atmos and spatial sound type speaker brands are copying BOSE's original surround effect and rear firing speaker designs, that gave and all around surround enveloping effect to the listener, not many people understand or know how to really set a Bose Speaker system with the correct wattage amp and equi tuning.
Bose's sound signature was unique and that's why there is a major fan base. The passive crossover circuit in the acoustimass and other speaker desighns is phenominal! not to forget that earlier Bose speaker designs in their tower and bookshelf type speakers had just simple cone tweeters or wide range hi-mid drivers, but they sounded superbly smooth and warm. Bose had only one drawback , is that most of their speaker systems dint give that 12 inch bassy low freq punch and kick that one gets today from an active sub in a home theater system. Bose systems work well on class D amps. But playback on class AB sounds like single malt.Bose Passive speaker systems Acoustimass Series 1 2 3 nearly all of them need atleast a 80watt @8ohms per channel stereo amp to make them groove.

Great video I’m going to subscribe and like.
My question is if you were a brand new buyer to this kind of set up
Which one would you buy and your budget is $8000
Choices that I can’t make my mind up
Sonos the one you just showed but with 2 subs
The latest Sony bar and biggest sub
    Samsung top of the line
The one I actually want but everyone says it’s sold out
I’d the Nak-Dragon sorry I don’t know how to spell that long name lol
Am thinking Sonos only because I can buy 1 piece at a time and use my income money on something else before buying another piece.
I used to have a $20k Dolby Atmos set up
7.2.1 Kliscph higher end speakers $5,000 in wires and 1 subwoofer with 2 12” subwoofer in one box
This system is Hugh and the room it was in was Hugh too.
I recently lost my rental home due to owner selling it and move into a much smaller room
12 x 14 x8 SF room but still a perfect square room for bouncing sounds the floors are hardwood too.
I just sold my big system.
    Oh I do
    80% games 20% movies
    Zero music
I got a 1500 watts 13W7 and speakers with Amps in my BMW all JL Audio for music

Holy shit the price 😂. That must sound good but Sonos is like Apple in which they have quality products but really overpriced. I mean you can get the more or less the same Dolby Atmos experience at home with 11.1.4 Samsung Q990C at below 5 times the price! Sonos might sound better but is it five times better? I doubt it. But I can't deny the Sonos looks very sleek and premium blending in well with your interior. So kudos for that! "i am a sound engineer and movie reviewer..... i don't have dolby atmos at home or even listened to dolby atmos at home".... source... "Trust me bro."
"speakers don't need to be pointed at you".... wanna bet? the basics don't change. the fact that the "speaker" has multiple speakers does not mean that you can place it however you like...
" take your phone and jump up and down for speaker calibration"..... a proper AVR speaker calibration where the MIC should be placed MOSTLY (90%) at the main listening spot at ear height while sitting. it should also be placed on a tripod and for you to be away from the listening space so that you don't interfere.
"this is a sound review" without actually showing us a listening demo. all i heard was echo and noise at the beginning of the video.
where are the use cases with spotify for example? or how do you connect it with your TV box? how do you fix the sound delay?
your space needs sound treatment. other than the sofa... you have absolutely nothing absorbing the sound for reflections. the glass from the window next to your sofa vibrates....
the wall front and back reflects the sound waves and the same goes for the floor.
ANYWAY, the speakers look really nice. too expensive though. for a small space i am sure that they sound pretty good.

So how is this worth 3.500? It's just a Sonos Arc with a couple rear speakers and a sub...
Just get a Samsung Q990B for real Atmos playback on a budget. Or get real speakers from an actual audio brand..
Also: LOL at the positioning of those rear speakers. They need to be BEHIND the couch, not next to the couch... Now your rear channel isn't behind you, but next to you.

speaker placement is totally wrong for atmos. you can still wow people that only have soundbars at home i guess. Enthusiasts would never buy sonos anyway.
