Cultural relativism is to help bridge the between and among the Filipino communities and to do this these filipino communities will be exposed and there IKSP, indigenous knowledge systems and practices of this filipino subcultures in such a way that they will be understood. And these IKSP will put every filipino to improve their way of living.
And it will also help to lessen if not eliminate Filipino ethnocentrics.

I've learned that Ethnocentrism is the tendency to look at the world primarily from the perspective of one's own culture. Ethnocentrism approaches foreign peoples from the vantage point of theobserver's better culture, which includes values, religion, and symbols.
I've also learned that Cultural Relativism is the valuing the practices of a culture from the point of view of that culture. Also even though we are not similar to our cultures we should still know about it and respect it. Cultural Relativism consider individuals in the context of their own culture.

According to professor Elnora. Budang, when we talk about ethnocentrism, it is one of the characteristics of relations between groups when one holds more power, more privilege, or more resources. These resources are being used in such a way that they would give more power and they have the time to dominate and to marginalize others. For those individuals who do not experience culture-depth and that they felt that their life is the best, the most natural, the best way of living those are what we called ethnocentric. These are the people where in they use their norms of culture to make generalizations other cultures
