All because of this educational video lesson, I have gained a lot of knowledge and understanding especially about the concept of CULTURE RELATIVISM and ETHNOCENTRISM.
Ethnocentrism is a contrast to cultural relativism. Ethnocentrism is the act of judging other cultures according to the preconceptions originating in the standards and customs of one's own culture. Cultural relativism, on the other hand, is the concept that cultural norms and values of people have to be understood with their own cultural context.
Ethnocentrism often entails the belief that one’s own race or ethnic group is the most important or that some or all aspects of its culture are superior to those of other groups. The tendency to judge another culture by the standards of our own, and the belief that our own culture is superior to another culture. Within this ideology, individuals will judge other groups in relation to their own particular ethnic group or culture, especially with concern to language, behavior, customs, and religion. This leads to making incorrect assumptions about others’ behavior based on your own norms, values, and beliefs. For instance, reluctance or aversion to trying another culture’s cuisine is ethnocentric.
Cultural relativism is the principle that an individual person’s beliefs and activities should be understood by others in terms of that individual’s own culture. A key component of cultural relativism is the concept that nobody, not even researchers, comes from a neutral position. The way to deal with our own assumptions is not to pretend that they don’t exist but rather to acknowledge them, and then use the awareness that we are not neutral to inform our conclusions

I have learned from this video about the culture relativism and ethnocentrism.
Cultural relativism refers to not judging a culture to your own standards of what is right or wrong, strange or normal. Cultural relativist is someone who believes and sees culture as relative meaning, they do not judge other people's practices and understand that there is no such a thing as right or wrong nor good or bad when it comes to culture. Ethnocentrism is one of the common characteristic of relations between different groups when one holds more power, more privileged or more resources. Ethnocentric are those individuals who do not experience other culture in -depth and that they felt that their life is the best, the most natural, the most natural and the best way of living.
According to Prof. Elnora B. Dudang, ethnocentrism is the belief that one's own culture is better than others. Ethnocentric people believe that one's culture is superior than the others. The negative effects of ethnocentrism are discrimination, bullying, racism, and the worst is the genocide.
We should observe the Golden Rule, which is "Do unto others what you want other do unto you." If we want respect, then we should show the respect in such a way that respect will be given to us. If we want love, then we should sow love in such a way that we could reap love also. We should be careful not to throw around changes of ethnocentrism to try to discredit people with those views that they disagree and exercise the best of ethnocentrism and put to use to correct our own ethnocentric attitudes and behaviors rather than that of others. Every individual is unique, that's why we must respect everyone's uniqueness.
Culture shares what is considered to be beautiful, ugly, appealing, disgusting, virtuous, funny and abhorrent and that should not be the basis for evaluating other cultures. Culture is not good or bad, neither it is right nor wrong, but instead it is relative.

Thank you for sharing a notable lesson. In this video, I learned about Cultural Relativitism and Ethnocentrism.
According to the video, cultural relativism refers to not judging a culture to your own standards of what is right and wrong, strange or normal. Instead, we should try to understand cultural practices of other groups in its own cultural context. It isa belief that culture are equally complex. There is no such thing as a superior or uninferior culture. It is a way of viewing the beliefs, values and practices of a culture from its own viewpoint. Cultural relativism is seeing and believing that there is no such thing as right or good or wrong or bad cultures. People of has various beliefs and practices, it is important for us to understand and respect the different ways and manners of other nationalities and accept the uniqueness of the Filipino traditions.
Also, cultural relativist is someone who believes and sees culture as relative meaning, they do not judge other people's practices and understand that there is no such a thing as right or wrong nor good or bad when it comes to culture.
According to Professor Elnora Budang, when we talk about ethnocentrism, it is one of the characteristics of relations between groups when one holds more power, more privilege, or more resources. These resources are being used in such a way that they would give more power and they have the time to dominate and to marginalize others. For those individuals who do not experience culture-depth and that they felt that their life is the best, the most natural, the best way of living, those are what we called ethnocentric. These are the people wherein they use their norms of culture to make generalizations other cultures. This ethnocentrism, really it will go on in our culture. This will help build a strong belief that a culture is superior to others.
Ethnocentrism is the belief that one's own culture is better than others. Ethnocentric people believe that one culture's superior d'anothers.
Some negative effects of ethnocentrism are:
    - discrimination
    - bullying
    - racism
    - the worst is genocide
Cultural relativism is to help bridge the gap between and among the Filipino communities. To do this, these Filipino communities will be exposed and their Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Practices (IKSP), of such Filipino subcultures in such way that they'll be understood. IKSP will help Filipino to improve our way of living. It also help to lessen if not to eliminate Filipino ethnocentrics.
Everyone should observe the golden rule, do unto others what you want others do unto you. If they want to respect, they should show respect in such way that respect will be given to them. If they want love, then they should sow love in such way that they could reap love also. We should be careful not to throw around charges of ethnocentrism try to discredit people with those views that they disagree and exercise the best of ethnocentrism and put to use to correct our own ethnocentric attitudes and behaviors rather than of others. Every individual is unique, that's why we must respect everyone's uniqueness.
Culture shares what is considered to be beautiful, ugly, appealing, disgusting, virtuous, funny, and abhorrent and that thses should not be the basis for evaluating other cultures. Cultural relativity some shapes our understanding of different issues in the society.
What we need is a open heart and a critical mind, exposure education and involvement in activities and programs supporting and recognizing the uniqueness and beauty of every culture for us to truly grasp what cultural relativism means.

Cultural relativism, as I learned from the video, refers to not judging a culture by your own standards of what is right or wrong, unusual or normal. Instead, we should try to comprehend other people's cultural behaviors in their own cultural context. It's recognizing and accepting that there is no such thing as a good or bad culture. I was able to have a more broad perspective of equality and how we should respect each other's cultures after seeing the video. Culture relativism is all about respecting each other's cultures, differences, and beliefs, as well as not making judgments on what they eat, wear, or believe. Because what is undesirable to one set of people could be good and acceptable to another.
While ethnocentric people are those that have little exposure to other cultures and believe that their way of life is the finest, the most natural, the most normal, and the greatest way to live. Ethnocentrism can bring conflict because it promotes the idea that one's own culture is superior to others. This conflict is caused by egocentrism, or bilib sa sarili, and it has a negative impact on intercultural communication.
The goal of cultural relativism is to bridge the gap between and among Filipino communities. Their indigenous knowledge system and practices, or IKSP, will be exposed in a way that they will be understood. IKSP helps Filipinos in improving their quality of life and lessening ethnocentrism.
"Iembrace natin ang kultura ng bawat ibang kulturang Filipino para magkaisa tayong lahat", said Professor Dudang.
As it state in the video, to properly grasp what cultural relativism implies, we need an open heart and critical mind, exposure, education, and participation in activities and programs that support and recognize the uniqueness and beauty of every culture.

Thank you for sharing a notable lesson
I learned to the video, That Cultural relativism refers to not judging a culture to your own standards of what is right and wrong, strange or normal. Instead, we should try to understand cultural practices of others groups in its own cultural context. It is a belief that culture are equality complex.
According to professor Elnora. Budang, when we talk about ethnocentrism, it is one of the characteristics of relations between groups when one holds more power, more privilege, or more resources. These resources are being used in such a way that they would give more power and they have the time to dominate and to marginalize others. For those individuals who do not experience culture-depth and that they felt that their life is the best, the most natural, the best way of living those are what we called ethnocentric. These are the people where in they use their norms of culture to make generalizations other cultures
Some negative effect of ethnocentrism are:
    *Discimination
    *Bullying
    *Racism
    *The worst is genocide
Cultural relativism is to help bridge the gap between and among the Filipino communities. To do this, these Filipino communities will be exposed. And the is Indigenous knowledge system and practices (IKSP) of such Filipino subcultures in such way that they’ll be understood.
Everyone should observed the golden rule, Do unto others what you don’t want others do unto you. If they want respect, they should show respect in such way that respect will be given to them. If they want to love, then they should show love in such way that they could reap love also.
Culture shares what is considered to be beautiful, ugly, appealing, disgusting, virtuous funny, and abhorrent and that these should not be the basis for evaluating other culture.

In this video lesson I've learned about the concept of culture relativism and ethnocentrism, Ethnocentrism is the act of judging other cultures according to the preconceptions originating in the standards and customs of one's own culture. Cultural relativism, on the other hand, is the concept that cultural norms and values of people have to be understood with their own cultural context.

In this video lesson I learned a lot. I learned that cultural relativism is seeing and believing that there is no such thing as right and good, bad or wrong cultures. While, Ethnocentrim is simple as the belief that one's own culture is better than others. Ethnocentric people believe that one's culture is better compare to other cultures which will cause discrimination, bullying racism and genocide.
I also enlighten that it's important for us to understand and respectvthe diffirent way and manner of other natunalities and accept and respect the uniqueness of the Filipino culture, believe and practices. I'll define relativism as an instrument for Filipino communities to meet.

Understanding the cultural practices of other cultures in the context of one's own culture is referred to as cultural relativism.
It is the notion that all cultures are equally complicated, and that there is no such thing as a superior or inferior culture; rather, it is a method of looking at a culture from its point of view.
It entails observing and believing that there are no good, bad, or neutral cultures.
It is critical that we comprehend and appreciate the various ways and manners of other nationalities, as well as accept the uniqueness of Filipino traditions.
