Conclusion.
I agree. The Maxx V2 is near prefect. Takes an absolute crap kicking and keeps on going. Ridiculously fast and controllable. Lots of upgrades available if you want. Love my V2.
The old one is much better
Ive had mine for quite a few years. It has been the best most reliable RC vehicle ive ever owned!
Never jump a stock truck. Always purchase the stiffer springs and replace the silicone shock oil with thicker silicone shock oil, for the Maxx 60wt in the rear and 70wt in the front. You get too much chassis slap with the stock spring and silicone shock oil, eventually cracking the chassis and ruining the electronics from extreme shock. You minimize the chassis slap with stiffer springs and thicker silicone shock oil by 90%. Other than that the Maxx is one of the best bashers you can buy for the money. The bigger brother XMAXX is incredible, too.

I got a Maxx close to a year ago and it's the best RC car I own. It drives smooth on just about every surface i've driven it on. Mine has the orange shocks that look great and I liked the green shocks on this one.
I have one as well, and it's how I've learned to do controllable flips so I've had many equally poor landings. After a year I've only broken one outside axel, have had to wrap the motor wires with electrical tape as they were rubbing against the zip tie that holds them in place, and one spur gear. -- It is extremely tough and a LOT of fun.

same here guys - in 1 year of bashing, jumping, bad landings - nothing broke so far. If I was to choose just one rc car - it would be Max for sure

Definitely a underrated channel
Have this and its rival the 4s Kraton. The Kraton handles better. The Maxx is slightly more durable. I’ve broken neither in months of driving. But overall I’d take the Kraton over the Maxx. Better stock electronics. Better stock tires. And in my opinion looks cooler.
I got my 1st monster truck maxx v2 I had it spinning on it side on 2 wheels and jump on wall. when it upside down you can press and hold the set button on the remote and it will try and flip by it self back over how long it not flip it won't stop
between this and the tekno mt410 for me for mts love them both

I don't know man, I use my Maxx the least because of its small size and inability to run in bumpy conditions. My kratons 4,6, and 8 are all better performers on most terrain and are all faster than the Maxx. Maxx also has the weakest motor/esc and the most expensive batteries with the worst battery plugs. Glad you like yours but I don't think most people would agree that other trucks are no longer needed.
I completely agree. The stupid connectors and not having a power level switch on the controllers like the arrmas do. It has it through the app but I don’t want to stop what I’m doing just to log into the app and adjust the speed for my kids

I prefer the previous version because it was smaller. The bigger the car, the easier it is to break down.
