Just a word about the AD200 round head, it does not fit inside the adapter C for the Godox V1. If you want to use an AD200 with your SMDV flip, the only way is to use the dedicated AD200 adapter with the fresnel mount, or bare bulb!
You’re welcome! Thanks for the kind words on the photos. I’m surprised at how good the photos came out, even though I barely know what I’m doing! 😂 I’m excited at how much better the photos will be after I learn how to use the softbox properly. I made the kind of review video I wish could have found on RUclips when I was deciding whether to buy the Flip 32 G. Glad it helped.
I have the smdv 32g and now the parasnap 36. This design has made obsolete my other soft boxes. Just can’t beat it. I am looking for the smdv 24 at a later time. Once you use these you don’t want to go back. Tip you can use the ak r16 godox magnetic gels on this. It fits perfectly.
@@MrDemonious I think the SMDV Flip 32 G and smaller softboxes use a proprietary mount. The SMDV Flip Pro and Glow ParaSnap softboxes that are 36-inch and 44-inch come with Bowens mount speed rings. The speed rings are also interchangeable.
Good news is there is a new AD200 bare bulb adapter: ruclips.net/video/eiwFmKKm8Ng/видео.html Bad news is I haven’t been able to find it anywhere to buy 😥 Official product page: m.smdv.co.kr/product/s-adapter-speedbox-flip-for-speedlight/2555/
@@HectorRiveraPhotography You’re welcome! You’re not alone in wishing there was an AD200 bare bulb adapter for the SMDV Flip softboxes. If I can get my hands on one I’ll make a follow-up video.

Thank you for posting this. I am doing some research on the SMDV Flip Softboxes and this was helpful. Your photos came out nice. :)

Glad you’re enjoying your softboxes!
Thanks for the tip on the AK R16 gels.
nice video Marcus!
Thank you! Been enjoying your videos too.
I love this series. I have the 20, 24 and the 40 something smdv. I love how flat it is. The ones with a circle Bowens is just too thick
Glad you’re loving your softboxes!
I have a Sony 45 RM speedlight. Guide number 45. Will this work with the 32 G?
You need the AD200PRO-PC Silicone Fender
Protect Case. I have one on all my AD200’s.
Great point.
I forgot to mention another photographer at that shoot recommended that case to me after my light stand fell over. Got one now.
Is the speedlight adapter (and all the other adapters, for that matter) compatible with Angler Fastbox?
Sorry, I don’t own the Angler Fastbox, so I cannot say. Safer to get an Angler speedlight adapter if you own a Fastbox.
Thanks for your question.
is it a bowens mount without the adapter?
