  • Trying the smaller 20" Angler FastBox - A little surprised how much fun it was to use handheld. And yes.... the Profoto Clic Softbox Octa is probably a better built copy of this design, at more then 1/3 the price I will suffer through it.

    You're videos are single-handedly going to drive me to buy a V1 just to use with one of these boxes. I can see a TTL cabled V1 in the 20" box pairing nicely with my X100F and TCL as a handheld 'walk around' portrait setup.

    Utterly fantastic pictures. Having found your channel recently, you have been inspiring me get off my backside and start using my two speedlights regularly - just need a couple stands and some modifiers. What I need to look into is what's compatible with what, ie. what attachments/brackets will hold my lights. Unless things are mostly standardized, I really don't know...

    I already have the 32in smdv but decided to also buy the 20in after watching some Japanese videos. I could only visualize the videos since I don’t understand Japanese. They were hand holding it in a run and shoot. It is a great idea for those times they don’t let you use stands in certain places.

    What I would like to know is how the angler differs from the profoto in terms of light quality (is there colour shifts, colour temp problems & how does falloff look?). People spending more on profoto often do so to avoid the colour problems visible in some of goods & other products. I saw your video on the profoto soft box for the A2. Did you notice any differences? Not sure if you looked at the colour meter or if you use one but I assume you do because you’re big into lights. Anyway, I like Angler but only if the light is consistent & this is why I don’t use godox (had them). Can you speak to the light quality on the Angler vs profoto?

    • @kaskoPhoto
      @kaskoPhoto  Год назад

      I didn’t find any color issues with them at all. I do notice color shifts using Godox lights but “most” modifiers I use are pretty constant in the color areas.

    • @kaskoPhoto
      @kaskoPhoto  2 года назад +1

      Wow that is an interesting question. So off the top of my head I would say they would be perfect for the extension head setup. (Love that accessory) But the length and weight would probably make it less stable(?)

    • @israelgamas9542
      @israelgamas9542 2 года назад

      @@kaskoPhoto precisely what I've been wondering. I have the ad100 and just recently got the ad200 as well, so I have been considering these softboxes for ease in portability.

    • @kaskoPhoto
      @kaskoPhoto  2 года назад +1

      @@israelgamas9542 well you will love them for the AD100 and like I said, using the extension head accessory would be perfect. The reason I like that so much is two-fold. First, it does allow for the lightweight head to be used almost anywhere and decreases the weight at the top of the stand or for hand holding. Second, adding a case and attaching it to the lower part of your light stand adds a little weight for stabilization- and in case of a stand fall, lessons the chance of damaging the main unit by so much.
