Humf goes over to Wallace’s house. Wallace has a big fire engine that they play firemen in. But when Wallace climbs up to put out a fire out, he falls down -hurting his leg! He has to go to the doctor and get a boot to wear but this doesn’t stop him thumping around.
Humf is playing with his shadow in the park, but when the sun goes in he can’t find it anywhere. It starts to rain and Dad takes him home, but Humf is thinking about his shadow all alone in the park. And he is surprised to find it again, when he turns on the light for his bedtime story.
One night Humf’s Mum and Dad were going out. Uncle Hairy was going to come to look after Humf but was running late so Flora looked after him instead. Humf wasn’t sure if he wanted Flora to read his bedtime story but when he heard her silly voices he was very happy.
Humf is a furry thing. He is short and round and purple and cuddly. At three years old Humf is full of wonder at the world, and is always eager to explore the new things he sees around him. Humf knows what the questions are, even if the answers take a little longer to find.
