Humf was playing with Wallace and Loon. They were all measuring how tall they were and how much they had grown. When Loon gets big she wants to be a doctor. When Wallace gets big he wants to be a racing car. And Humf grows up and gets big he wants to be a dad.
Humf decides to paint his red Dad and his blue Mum. But the colours run together and Humf ends up with a purple blob in the middle. He’s not very happy with his painting until he realises that purple is the same colour as he is. And he decides that he’s painted himself.
Loon, Wallace and Humf were playing dinosaurs but it was a very hot day. So Loon’s mum put sun cream and hats on them and took them to the park. But the park was even hotter so they went home again and filled up Loon’s paddling pool in Loon’s garden. This soon cooled Loon and Humf down but Wallace got a little too cool!
Humf is a furry thing. He is short and round and purple and cuddly. At three years old Humf is full of wonder at the world, and is always eager to explore the new things he sees around him. Humf knows what the questions are, even if the answers take a little longer to find.
