Well Love proved he couldn't make short passes if his life depended on it, and Tommy was ice. What a fun game. Saquads almost blew it for them but Tommy lead them back. Love stories like this.

I am not Italian American, but i am from NJ, and Tommy DeVito's story and seeing his family and how they talk and behave, its not a stereotype. If you grew up in NJ, if you didn't grow up in an Italian-American family, you still knew at least two or three families that were exactly like the Devitos. The massive tailgate of Italian food for 300-plus people at the Giants game was quite literally the most New Jersey thing I have seen involving the Giants. And it is some fun to see.
I'm an Italian-American from Mass. My family is Genoese descent unlike those dagos from Sicily that make up much of the Jersey shore and Boston. Just writing to remind everyone that we are the true Italians and also your comment is accurate.

I grew up in the region too, and why I don't doubt your origins, I do question how aware you are of your surroundings. I've met some families like this in the area but few and far between. And I'm familiar with a number of towns/villages where at least half the population has Italian ancestry, but I'm struggling to come up with any examples as cliched as the DeVito family. Your comment is a classic example of the exception fallacy -reaching a group conclusion based on exceptional cases. I would also note that the area DeVito grew up in and went to school is one of the highest income counties/regions in the US. If you think any significant number of people there drive around in plumber vans and ironically quote the Sopranos, you're very naive.
Going from that Jets-Giants game, in which you just had to start laughing at the whole mess the Giants had become, to where this story has traveled... I feel his agent pitched this script and was determined to show the critics it wasn't too ridiculous.

FYI: Don Bosco was a famous "priest" in Italy, Piedmont and for some reason Sicily expecially. It's usually a sort of private school managed by church with a bit of land for soccer, tennis, volleyball, and basketball. I grew up playing in the Don Bosco's fields in Palermo =)
In the US, it's a private school in North Jersey that's basically an athletic factory. It's the school where if you're a kid and want to play pro sports, you go there.
Brandon can you do a review of the cursed career of Tyrod Taylor. He is the guy I feel worst for in the NFL. I saw him play a bit for Buffalo and he showed promise, I feel in the right situation he could be good. But he keeps getting traded, over shadowed, injured or punctured, his story need to be told.
I watched DeVito at Illinois. He was really solid for us and helped get Illinois to their best season in years in 2022. I’m happy he has done decently in the NFL after what he did there.

As a Cowboys fan, im actually proud of the Giants for pulling themselves together with Tommy. I think hes a better choice over Jones just because he has more touchdowns than games played.

I think it's also important to note that for most of Daniel Jones' games, he was going against the top defenses in the country, his defense was not playing the way they are now, he rarely had Saquon Barkley, and his offensive line couldn't block for 2 seconds. Yeah, DJ played poorly for sure, but ignoring how everything went to shit around DJ at the beginning, getting injured twice (as did Tyrod) and just the two main offensive weapons brought over in the offseason (Campbell and Waller) underperforming should be mentioned. I'm here for the Devito ride, but DJ has been screwed for most of his career with the Giants, and the beginning of the season showed how bad it was.

I love DeVito because I'm a Syracuse fan AND Giants fan. I saw him play several times in person when he was in college and I'm so glad he's not only doing well in the pros but he's brought the spark back to my favorite team.

I am a Syracuse fan who knew this kid had it, it was just unfortunate that Cuse almost ruined his career. His best games for us were basically early in his career, and then he had to run for his life as our line collapsed as his career went on. Was excited when the Giants signed him because he definitely deserved a shot. Not saying he's going to be a great QB by any means, but he has the talent for sure to develop.
