    Farage telling it how it is. These politicians are childish. Look at the smirks on their faces. Worse than kids.

    • @vhuttyu
      @vhuttyu 8 лет назад +8

      How, exactly? Half of what Farage says is, quite frankly, hilarious. Wouldn't you have a smirk?

    • @davidswinton3522
      @davidswinton3522 8 лет назад +1

      I think your as easily manipulated as they are. What he's saying is valid and has weight. Something you won't find from any of those smirkers.

    • @vhuttyu
      @vhuttyu 8 лет назад +12

      Aspects of what he is saying is valid - the request for a 'grown-up ... attitude to how we negotiate a different relationship.'
      He then he then goes on to launch a personal attack on the entire chamber. Why? Why does he launch personal attacks on the counterparties his country will be negotiating with, while asking for a grown-up attitude in negotiations? He sounds like a boy at primary school asking a girl out - 'You smell and are ugly, will you be my girlfriend?'. It *is* hilarious.

    • @vhuttyu
      @vhuttyu 8 лет назад +1

      And it's really annoying, because the majority of the speech prior to that one sentence was actually fairly well argued - I'm not actually sure I agree with what he said, but it was clear and - if you do agree with him - telling truth to power in a direct manner. But he undid all of that work to get revenge at the MEPs that he feels either don't do a proper job or laughed at him (his opening statement of this speech refers to them laughing at him, hence why I mention it)

    • @davidswinton3522
      @davidswinton3522 8 лет назад +5

      That "scathing attack" was 15 years in the making like he said. 15 years of ridicule and bad mouthing. He says one "attack" and people cry. Think about how much REAL grief he's taken over the years. Yet still stands up for what he believes in. And in the end he won and was right.

  • @lukec8904

    I voted Remain but I always thought he was right on the idea that politicians are out of touch. Some have done proper jobs but most have not. Politicians need to be a mix of ex-teachers, nurses, doctors, accountants, marketers, psychologists, electricians, plumbers etc etc because that would REPRESENT society. Instead, you get a lot of people leaving Uni and waltzing into, and let's be honest, a well-paid, relatively speaking, easy job, without any real-life experience. So fair play to him on this.

      The Soviet-Union moreover, killed far more opponents. The regime tried to exterminate 'dangerous'intelligentsia. Something the nazi- regime did not.

    It is rare that such a momentous change owes so much to one man's enterprise. Various insults are posted to this page (perhaps with some justification or not?) but I suspect a measure of resentment at a rare triumph of democracy over the will of the privileged imposing their supposedly superior morality on others less fortunate, while hypocritically suffering none of its downsides themselves.

We are way too small to negotiate significant trade deals with the rest of the world on our own, plus the EU's headquarters are stationed in Brussels...

    The EU is looking angry towards Brittain because leaving the EU caused economical difficulties withtin Brittain and propably other European countries. But have we already forgotten what kind of recession we had and have to endure because of the installed EU-politics? Most European countries where doing fine before the EU-politics was installed! Most European countries where doing better than America based on economics and food protection laws! People within European countries are often living and eating more healthy than Americans. After the EU-politics where installed European countries just crashed economically! The economies of coutries like Spain, Portugal, Italy and Ireland suffered and many people within Spain became unemployed and even homeless. Other countries like Britain, The Netherlands, Belgium and France suffered as well economically. With TTIP America tries to get a tight grip on Europe! Lobbyists working for American multinational compagnies will buy their way into Europe like a virus. These lobbyists now have bring some multiple millions of euro's towards corrupted EU-lawmakers and this way they will destroy European food protection laws! America will be able so sell their cheap to produce trashfoods and other cheap junk within Europe are the European citizens will have no choise then to buy, use and eat it! Europe will become more dangerous and less healthy because of the corrupted superstate called the EU! Quality of life is more important than money!

    Well it's funny people in the comments don't have a clue about what's happening around the world. The US is not part of any political union but no one seems to pick up on that. However, when the Brits leave a political union, they call the British 'isolationists'. The US doesn't allow Mexicans and their beloved Canadians to work in the US without a work permit. Also, the Swiss is not part of the EU but has more foreigners in their country has a % than the UK has. Japan is not part of any political or monetary union and you see Toyota and Honda cars everywhere around the world.

How is having no deal better than having a deal, we actually need the import/export business to stay the same, we've cut ourselves off from the rest of the world now but everyone else still has each other, we're screwed if the people of the European Parliament actually listen to him.

    France - Marine Le Pen
    Netherlands - Geert Wilders
    Germany - Frauke Petry
    Hungary - Victor Orban (prime minister)
    Austria - Norbert Hofer
    Italy - Mateo Silvini
    Slovakia - Robert Fico (president)
    Czech Republic - Miloš Zeman (president)
    We could add more names to this list. There are very good opposition leaders in Scandinavia, Southern and Eastern Europe, too.

    It surely would be also a bad business for the EU, if they didn't negotiate good trade conditions with the EU. There are a lot of EU countries which sell and buy goods from and to the UK, these trades represent a part of the economic wealth of these countries, although UK isn't the sole trade partner. Definitely it would be a shock for the economies of the EU since UK has an amount of 60 million potential consumers.
    But I also think that Mr. Farage's style of negotiating is very unwise and ineffective.

      I can't agree more. And his behaviour is so... un-British. I understood him that he fought for what he believed ferociously. Indeed I admire his determination for over 20 years, despite all the setbacks. But he seems he got intoxicating with the victory. It's not rare that the biggest fall is preceded by the biggest triumph. And there is also something about having a class: some people just don't have it.
