    Thanks for the tour. Always enjoy your videos. These days I have to travel vicariously thru other folks journeys. Had a serious back injury 3 years ago. So walking is very painful.

    Love these videos! All of the natural beauty and the man made beauty as well. I get a kick out of the feeling that we are riding along in your van with you. Also enjoy your signature " Good Morning " that we all enjoyed on the PCT

    Hi, Kirstine! Lovely video. We also have a gorse problem on the southern Oregon coast and a scotch broom problem along parts of the rest of our coast. It contrasts beautifully with our evergreens, but it’s as prolific as our out of control blackberry brambles.
    I’m so excited to continue to watch your journey. Thanks for sharing it with us!

    • @RestlessKiwiHiker

      Those Brits managed to spread their weeds worldwide. We also have broom.

    This is going to be a very enjoyable tour. Perhaps the New Zealand Tourism Board can hire you on as a tour guide.:) It's certainly different seeing you hiking around without your trekking poles, but they'd hinder your intermittent running training.

    Thanks for taking us around New Zealand! Is it spring there? Is the water at the beaches cold? I look forward to your videos.

    • @RestlessKiwiHiker
      @RestlessKiwiHiker  5 лет назад

      Hi. Yes it is spring and it has been a cold wet one. The water is still really cold. In this part of the country the sea temperature ranges from 7 to 15 degrees C (45 to 59 degrees F). Spring it averages 11 degrees C (51 F)

      Must make you cringe seeing cars coming towards me. Did you notice the arrows on the road to help tourists keep to the right side. Common outside tourist spots and randomly elsewhere

  • @willardwooten9582
    @willardwooten9582 5 лет назад +1

    Seeing you before you did the PCT , I believe this is the first time since the PCT that you used your name Kirstene and not Ressless Kiwi or Homemade . How's the design for the new tent?

    • @RestlessKiwiHiker
      @RestlessKiwiHiker  5 лет назад +3

      Yes strange using my name - Kirstine. Tent has gone as far as I can without more material. All suppliers are out. I did a prototype for design but need the proper material now.

    Can you say what camera was used when zooming in on the birds?

    • @RestlessKiwiHiker
      @RestlessKiwiHiker  5 лет назад +2

      Sony Cybershot HX90V. It is a small digital point and shoot but has 30 x optical zoom. I did a video reviewing it a couple of weeks ago

    • @debgittins7426
