    My Notes:
Phase 1: With the guidance of a dedicated trainer, she immersed herself in a newfound commitment to fitness. Days filled with gym sessions and endless walks led to astonishing results-15 kg lost in just three months as she went from 122 kg to 108 kg. Her effort paid off, and she felt the change.
Phase 2: A fresh start in a new city meant vibrant explorations with new friends and less focus on food. She thrived in an active job, constantly on the move. The weight continued to drop, from 100 kg to 88 kg. However, the rapid loss came at a cost, fueled by irregular sleep, poor diet choices, and stress from work.
Phase 3: Health challenges hit hard after she left her job, and for six long months, she battled sickness. Her body, worn down by neglect, was in pain. Reflecting on her unhealthy habits, she realised the price she’d paid. Now at 72 kg, she understood the importance of self-care.
Phase 4: In the past two months, she embarked on a journey of healing. Embracing self-love, she learned to nurture herself through better eating and therapy, finally prioritising her well-being.
*Thank you so much for sharing. 💖 I love how raw this is. As women, the silent battle we have within ourselves feels so relatable-it’s like I’m listening to my big sister. Thank you, thank you, thank you! 💓💓*

Thank you for sharing! I'm on my weightloss journey now. I also have ptsd and even though i was able to stop eating large amounts what i was actually eating was all junk (emotional eating). I also have chronic illness and everything combined has just kinda built up, i got to a breaking point over a week ago and have been counting calories and tracking my micronutrients since. I really want to keep my weight down this time, not only for my physical health but for my mental health and confidence, life is too short to be being so horrible to myself. I really appreciate your honesty, it's very refreshing

    • @lesliesjourney
      @lesliesjourney  3 месяца назад +1

@@rannivvitch I appreciate you for opening up - not an easy thing to do. It’s hard, we use food as a crutch for these unresolved emotions that become so much that we need an outlet. I believe you can do this. Sometimes for me it was even the thought of wasting my life that pulled me through. We don’t like what we look like so we spend so much time hiding. But you’ve got this 👍🏼👍🏼 think about how much life you have ahead of you and how much better/happier it will be to live it healthy. Thats what I did. I even threw away the calorie tracking and the scales. I just wanted to feel good.
Sending love. I believe in you!

Thank you for sharing💗 your beautiful in every form. I’m going through my own journey. I put on weight due to having 2 babies that passed away in the second trimester and grief. so even though our stories are different, trying to accept myself and loose the weight that’s so heavily tied mentally to my babies is extremely hard. 💗 Alyssa xx

@@jackmovick9116 I’m so sorry Alyssa. That must have been devastating. I think we have to let ourselves grieve in whatever way we need to - I don’t know you but I’d bet you are beautiful with or without the weight that grief has caused. But I can understand how hard that must be. Sending my love & it might take time but you will get through this 🩷

@2:52 ... wow... that emotional eating is something I"m working through right now. But same with the PTSD from childhood and the works... I'm literally at the weight you used to weigh, but, also a guy, so my goal weight is 210. Is a little strange hearing about your "." symptoms and only knowing it in relation to ex-gf's and helping with theirs, but, your back pain is one I've heard about. The old ice on the back, heat on the front trick helped... if... that is worth anything to ya. But, its nice to see someone I can relate too, even though I wish it wasn't something you had to go through for us to share. Crazy transformation though! And the "tastes green" made me laugh probably a bit more than I should've. Thanks for sharing!
Also, I'm here because youtube keeps showing me tons of women who've gone through pretty drastic transformations, and so I wanted to see yours, hope thats okay. I'll take the 'hey Queens" as an honorary Queen lol.
Oddly enough, I'm Canadian, and theres an Aussie Hip Hop song that also I relate too and it sounds like you were doing, "Subtle Way of Su***de"... hopeless and uncaring, done, apathetic to life in general, ya... this is so wild to hear, I'm grateful, but its like I'm listening to a much much more effeminate version of myself with a very different accent talk to me through a youtube video. Not that I didn't think anyone else in the world would share the same circumstances, but, its.... nice to be able to empathize with someone like that. So another thank you!

@@mbe102 first I just want to say thank you for this comment 🙏🏼 This is the reason that I shared the video in the first place and it’s an amazing feeling having the right people see it. And yes I do have women in mind when I open up about these things - but that doesn’t mean it’s only limited to them! So I am very glad you resonated, but also not glad that we have to go through these things ??? If that makes sense! Thanks for the tips too btw haha. Sending you love & you’ve got this ❤️

@@lesliesjourney we are 100% on the same wavelength! Its weird right, because, I know you can't see me, but I could see it, in those little microexpressions, every little nuanced thing was like reading someone's story in a way that it was like a language I knew intrinsically. You know? Nerd moment here, but this is a great analogy, if you've seen it; in the Matrix, all the japanese characters are flowing down the screen and to Neo it just looks like gibberish, but, to the guy at the monitors, it all makes sense. Like how veterans in war just kind of 'get' each other, you know? Its kind of a strange, but in an awesome way, thing to accidentally stumble upon even though its ancillary to the losing weight topic that I'm sure got me recommended you.
Thanks for being open, transparent, and thoughtful in your sharing (I really think that the first line of your description speaks volumes to your character, and the second line is just... eh, I've got compliments for days, but its a good thing and I'm glad its there), and I honestly, genuinely, look forward to seeing and hearing more from you through your videos. I hope things that are going on get better, and if they can't, that they at least become manageable and liveable. You LOOK great, so I hope thats imparting FEELING great. I also need to try that shake/smoothie you were drinking.... that legit looks amazing.
And yeah, I was like, "uh oh, period, I uhh... well" haha, I didn't know what to do, but just stuck it out, felt like I was eavesdropping! And I haven't dated in a while, so, I kind of forgot that that was a thing, whoops.
      Stay awesome Leslie!
      ~Marc

    Leslie I relate so much!!!!
But I have always been conscious of what I ate and tried to watch. I could tell from young age that my metabolism wasn’t the best so it’s easy for weight to stick!
But WOW after Covid the food choices were not the best.. it was as if “nothing mattered” anymore like a free for all! I realized fast that my body does not like that at all. But I’m 2023 I developed debilitating insomnia that literally took me out!
I have many theories, but food was a big one. Histamine intolerance among so many other food intolerances possibly
Causing inflammation and reactions and pumping cortisol in my brain was a big thought. Among many others.
But that journey also made me realize how absolutely important health is. Which I’ve always been a bit of a hypochondriac but now I have a much more profound gratitude for health and the days I sleep. I was so sick. And massive stomach issues my whole life that are only helped by specific diet.
I saw you were tested for celiac but it was negative?
I watched before bed and thought after ** I have to tell her about my supplements!!!
    United Naturals Synbiotic capsule
United naturals gut health 365 drink
    Cymbiotika GLUTATHIONE
I started strength training so I’m sure that has helped my sleep BUT the only other thing I can relate my sleep to besides foood or natural causes is taking the glutathione!
    Thank you for sharing!!!!
What is your new diet and what do you do when cravings strike??

Thank you for sharing - I am so sorry you have to go through health struggles too! It sucks!! I tested negative for celiac. I’ll have a look into those thank you and right now (I don’t want to promote my diet because it’s so unhealthy) but I’m eating lowfodmap but not many carbs. Mainly fruit/veg/chicken. And even cutting down on fruit bc think I’m fructose intolerant 😭 but it’s a short term diet. Thank you again for watching!
