@@guapamole3006 I mean that art style you are talking about is what Cuphead tried to emulate. It's just that Cuphead is the most recent and popular example. If he had said an anime from that actual era, no one would know what he is talking about
@@rim4038 that's not true. rubberhose animation was a popular standard back in the day. people know who betty boop and mickey mouse are, for example, and even more modern animation has done parody of rubberhose animation (e.g., spongebob). cuphead is a prominent example but it's more proper to just say that this episode was animated in a rubberhose style instead of just calling it the "Cuphead" style (which is inaccurate, and hurts even more because the original cuphead developers made the game because of a deep love and respect for rubberhose animation).
