Love this game. Still have the old 90's box version of this game with the floppy disk. Bought it years & years later on GOG just to enjoy it again. Always loved playing the Dwarves.
I was hoping you'd get to this one eventually, seeing as you're mainly covering old strategy games. It's a really fun idea, but seems a bit hard to master the controls/concepts. I'm thrilled to watch your take on it. Just beat old KOEI L'Empereur myself last night and I feel very pleased with myself for that (another title you might have a look at someday).
@@guderheinz it’s good fun but you need to constantly pause the game if you want to manage the city building properly. I’d like to cover it again when I start streaming. Yes I plan to cover more KOEI games in the future! Well done on L’Empereur
Yeah it becomes quite tedious managing the Kingdom later on. Would have been nice if just a little more information was available on the world map. Coloured dots for building type maybe.
Me, thinking: Never heard of this game...kind of interesting...played a lot of these old D&D games...not this one...wonder if it's fun...weird mix of concepts...I wonder if he'll ever play Warriors of the Eternal Sun...not a DOS game so probably not. Him: "Here are our warriors, this is an archer" *Jumps to picture of female archer in form fitting leather armor with flowing, coiffed hair and sneering expression* "NOW it's a 90s Dungeons and Dragons game!"
@@inwyrdn3691 Warriors of the Eternal Sun does look like the kind of game I’d like to cover at some point. There’s a whole bunch of DnD CRPGs for dos. Still thinking about the best way to cover them.
@@CopperPlaysRetro WOTES is such a great game! I know you mainly cover DOS games, but if you ever get around to it, I'd watch a WOTES video or Let's Play and enjoy it as much as you Defender of the Crown series. Eternal Sun Tip: Wisdom, Intelligence, and Charisma mean nothing. As in, literally nothing.

I played this one, such a fun game. Its a very nice mix of genres. And for the most part it all works... unlike most modern games.
I had this game way back when. I couldn't even play it because my PC at the time couldn't run it. My, how times have changed.
Thanks for sharing.
its just banger after banger with you !
Thank you, there is a treasure trove of forgotten games to cover!

What an odd game. Ambitious graphics engine for the time, but lacking in UX and UI department. Thanks for sharing it!
