- When I talk about my TBR, it's realistically a hugely unrealistic collection of books I have hoarded over the past few years.
Therefore, I wanted to narrow this down into a selection of books that I thought I would be able to realistically get through!
Let me know whether you've read any of these books or where I should start with this big list!

I think I’ve already said ‘read it!’ About life after life. I love the Galbraith books too. Would like to read Thunderclap, as On Chapel Sands was brilliant. I’m about to start I am Pilgrim x
I wish you'd hold the book up longer and hold it steady so I could read the author and title. You keep waving the book around. And I can't always fully grasp each syllable that you speak. You're very clear, but when it comes to authors and titles the syllables need to be enunciated very distinctly. Cheers.
It took me a couple of attempts to get it to Life after Life but so glad I didn't give up. The 2nd book A God in Ruins was also excellent
I have read Legends and Lattes and Yellowface. Legends is like a warm hug and so lovely and Yellowface is the exact opposite but a LOT of fun. I did try and read Life after Life but I couldn't get into it, not sure if it was a ME thing or if it was the book, the cover of that book is gorgeous though, mine was not that nice so maybe that put me off as well 😂
If you like closed-door romance then check out Rebecca Raisin's books, they are good.
Don't know several of these, so looking forward to hear your opinion!
I am currently finishing stormlight archive 4, after which I am planning to try out some new authors, such as:
- Robin Hobb
- Cormac mccarthy
- Joe Abercrombie
- Jeff Vandermeer
So, my 2024 TBR is mostly filled with those.
Joe Abercrombie’s books are brilliant! And I read the first Robin Hobb but I feel like I need to read it again!
Hello again Luke, I have read two books of this list. The Cuckoo's Calling by Robert Galbraith i read a long time ago I remembered enjoying it, good little mystery but i didn't continue with the series though I do watch the adaptations when they are released on the BBC. The other is Godkiller again I enjoyed so I would start with them. I am currently nearly finished a histological fiction book called The Betrayal of Thomas True by A J West didn't think I would like it but it is another banger. Thanks again for another video. You have made a rather boring afternoon good again 😅
Top man, thank you Christopher! 🙏
I have atleast 6 books to finish 2024 TBR' Golden Son, Morning Star by Pierce Brown, Through My Window, Through You by Ariana Godoy, The Testament by John Grisham and EoD by Jay Kristoff. I will see if I can read more when that moment comes.
Ooh! Did you enjoy Red Rising?
@@lukesblog2 It was good, not great. Golden Son is the same. I have problems with the hype surrounding the series.
I thought the EXACT same thing!
Have read almost all of the Robert Galbraith books and some of them are monsters to read but overall I enjoyed them all a lot. They have the character development and back stories that made Harry Potter such a brilliant read.
Thanks! This is exactly what I’d need to hear to get me into them!
Where's the category of books you've borrowed with no intention of reading
