Sometimes sth ridiculous can be just what we need. I've read so many fantasy books with war, life/death struggles and way too stubborn MC this summer that some lighthearted nonsense sound like a breath of fresh air.

Honestly right now lighthearted and fluffy nonsense sounds like my perfect vibe too! 😂 Maybe I can finally get Cinema Love from the library next month, but other than that I'm going to look through my tbr for some good ol' escapism. It wasn't easy to pick this month and reading some reviews only made me more unsure 😅 so I'm going with my first instinct and vote for Like a Love Story! I'm off to the lake district at the end of the week so hoping to get some reading done. Currently reading Paperweight by Meg Haston (I've kind of abandoned a secret history for now 🙈) and I'm taking the new Lex Croucher novel and Daisy May Cooper's autobiography with me. Although I should really take my Beatrix Potter biography given I'll be staying near where she lived 🤔
