Thank you. You just up sold me to the XF900 for a few reasons. First I am 54 years old, a big guy 6'3 and 270+ pounds. So, it makes sense to go with the bigger bike, stiffer suspension, and bigger battery. SOLD. Sadly, I am having to wait 14 - 90 days depending whom you believe at Cyrusher for the container ship to arrive. I do have inside info, the XF900 will now be available in 4 colors including RED! I was going with RED if I bought the XF800, but changed to a WHITE for my XF900. You can find a picture of it on wholesale on Alibaba's website as Cyrusher hasn't posted the option or photo yet on its website. I was told I could change my color at shipping, but I'm going to go stealth for faster riding. :-)
very well made video and comparison!! can i ask in regards to the 800 battery do you have a link or a brand name of the battery looking to get the xf800 but want to get a 2nd battery eventually... Respect from London!
I love your reviews. It's like sitting down and having a friend show me the bikes! The XF800 display is the KT LCD3, and the XF900 is the same as the one Rad uses I believe. Aside from only having 4 battery level bars, I like the KT LCD3 better, and I used it until I went to a Cycle Analyst display with 16 segments and a direct voltage display. I also prefer the narrower handlebars and more "bicycle-like" front fork on the 800, as well as the squishier suspension, but that seat would go in the trash right away! 13 versus 17aH is a huge difference in battery. I can get 36 miles of aggressive riding on a 13.5aH battery (the smallest one I have), but that's on a Radmini which only weighs 59 pounds. I do NOT like the 800 fenders, and they seem like they would be pointless in the rain. Everything below the "Y" in the Cyrusher logo would get doused with water and mud, including the lower part of the battery where the electrical connectors are. 1000 watts in pedal assist 1 is crazy! Definitely not made for pedaling, and I don't think I'd like riding it that way. Thanks again for the video!
yes the 900's pedal assist seems to be tied to a specific mph, pedal assist 1 is 12mph so it just gives full power until you hit 12 mph, so you can literally go up a very steep hill in pedal assist 1 because it's giving you 1000+ watts until it hits 12mph. pretty crazy, its actually kinda difficult to leisurely ride around town because of this.
@@CitizenCycle925 - Ahhh, so the pedal assist is tied to a speed limit instead of a power level. Interesting! One of my controllers was programmed that way, and I changed it right away.
The battery and suspension make the 900 the better option. I like the look of the 800 more, but I bought a Geb 1 XF800 with a defective motor the company knew was an issue but refused warranty. Keep that in mind. You get what you get, and the much better Bafang 750 replaced the replaced but not warranatied defective "1000w" option.

Boy, that would be a hard decision as to which one I would like better. I guess I would have to ride them to see the difference. I like that the 800 has more power with the throttle as opposed to more power with the pedal assist. I like the bigger battery in the 900. 21 speeds is way too many. Love my XF800…Except for one odd trait. At VERY LOW speed, under 3-4 mph, like when turning tight, the geometry is unstable….meaning, the handle bar strongly wants to turn in extra much, which if you let it, would kinda ‘jack knife’ the bike and throw you off. However, at a brisk walking pace this trait rapidly disappears and at 5mph you can feel the wheel begin to groove, which just get progressively better and nicer. Some bikes let you sit up and ride ‘no hands’..this is not one of them.
