Definitely a good looking bike. A lot of people are saying overpriced but it does have full hydraulic brakes, an actual customizable controller and a "real" 750 motor. All the things I had to add to my Rover 5. Not to mention a rear suspension. I think it's a fair price. Keep the reviews coming and thanks for keeping it real and to the point.
It is overpriced, because it’s a no name hydraulic brake, the fork is cheap shit, the weldings on the frame looking horrible and you end up with the cheapest 7speed Shimano offers. Also the battery is really small for that kind of bike. Sorry but everything screams just cheap cheap cheap on this bike. It’s horrible and I don’t see any reason why this is over 2000$.
I agree if you buy a radrover and try to upgrade it into a bike comparable to this one, you would spend the same amount or more and you still wouldn't have full suspension.
@@CitizenCycle925 Yeah Man, I might pick one up as a FUN bike or for a backup to my Rover. LOVE the rear suspension. I would NOT put a rear rack, basket(s) panniers, etc. It's very cool (and fast) out of the box and it is really slick bone stock. It might not have the most top of the line parts but unless you build one from scratch (maybe Citizen Cycle might do this?) you'll never make everyone happy. I would really love for you to build a bike starting from a bare frame and keep a running total of what every part, from major and minor components, nuts and bolts and most importantly, labor costs. I think people will be amazed at how quickly the money starts to flow.
@@CitizenCycle925 This fullsuspension is worthless, because it’s from such a low quality that you will run into issues within one or two years. You just try these things new, and new everything shines, but people who buy this, want to use it over years and want to have fun with it. It’s the same with the brakes, is it no Magura, Shimano, SRam or Tektro be aware. When even cheap Tekro hydraulic brakes are to expensive - and they’re really really cheap - just don’tbuy it. If 50 bucks is to much, ask for the price of a bed in a hospital for one day and ask yourself the question again if 50 bucks is to much. And if we’re talking about prices, an Acera 8 speed derailleur is about 30$, the cassette is just 15-20$ so what are we talking about?
Pretty cool! Some things that wouldn't be my preference are the type of fenders, especially the rear one, the handlebars being more forward, nothing extreme, just preferences. I like the white lettered tires but I think there should be maybe some smaller ones on the other side for balance. Great review as always.
Their bikes are cool but , speaking from my experiences, the customer service blows, unless you are a youtuber, no insult to citizen cause his channel is my number one for bikes. I just wish a lot of these companies, ancheer, ecotric, cyrusher etc seemed to care about the everyman who wouldnt be able to drum up more attention to an issue.
Their customer service is non-existent because these companies are solely middle-men. You can find this EXACT bike on the "Ali" type websites for approx. $1k less. All these companies do is order in bulk from the same site, and slap a sticker with their "brand" on it (better explanation here : ruclips.net/video/Xn-3x4wlIVA/видео.html).
Not all ebike companies are this way. Just bought a fat tire 1000w ebike from a new local company, Great guy who runs it great service.. Had a bent front disk rotor when arrived and he refunded me the cost of a new one and the cost for a local (even closer) bike shop to replace it. All over the phone! And the bike was pre-built apart from front wheel and was free next day delivery. Of course, I could save money buy one from china or these guys or build one me self but it's a cool bike and I know I'm getting looked after during my warranty and probably beyond judging by the service so far. (Plus I wouldn't know where to start with building one anyway lol) - Which is my these companies exist.
I am very fond of the colour-schemes. The bikes stand out which was the 1st thing I noticed on the blue Cyrusher 650 model you tested. I think the green one looks good also. I totally agree - this is for blasting cross country or various trails. Great bike but not for me as I require more utility for my needs (baskets, fenders, lighting).
Great Video. What are you other e-bikes that would beat this for what it is? Also are there non fat e-bikes - normal off road tires set up with 1000+ Watt for heavier tires on hilly bike paths - target demo 50+, 250+ overweight people that need the extra power for hills? What are the competition - great video - #1 choice as I look for more.
Really liking your videos bro im torn between e scooter and e bike at the moment.. E scooters aren't really allowed on public here in the uk but plenty of people do it because they're awesome and useful. But i like the idea of e bike with plenty of power.. I'd be throttle assist only so i can cruise on the way to work and cruise home lol. Your reviews are good im actually tempted to buy one of these now.. But i want the blue one and can't find any lol
I think an e-bike would definitely be more comfortable to ride but it's also a lot larger and I'm not sure where you're storing it. Also, I just did a scooter review not long ago on the Turboant X7 pro. Good luck in your decision 🙂
First of all thankyou so much for all the info. I really do like the look of this bike but I'm limited due to my height.( Im a little over 5 ft! ) Could you recommend any e bikes that would be okay for me please? I want full suspension and I like the look and a lot of the perks of the XF800. I was advised to look at the step through bikes but there's just so many out there, so any help would be a bonus. Cyrusher recommended the Kommoda but I dont like the look of it. Its a bit too angular for me. The seat height and handlebar positions on the Kuattro are adjustable but whats the lowest the seat can go? It doesnt have to be Cyrusher ,Im open to other brands too.
The pedal assist is a completely separate system from the throttle. When you use the throttle you can go from minimum to maximum speed, regardless of the pedal assist level set. In other words you can be in pedal assist 1 but still use the throttle to go maximum speed.
Thanks for the great review. How would you compare this to the Biktrix mid-drive motor (Stunner X) as far as powering up hills? Not that interested in high end speed, but I have a lot of steep hills in my area.
I just bought mine and I find it to be a powerful bike that in power setting 5 really takes off. I find it does struggles up hills though. I'm not talking terribly steep hills. I'm 61 years old, haven't ridden a bike regularly since I was a kid. So I'm not talking about hills so steep one might call it aggressive or technical. I weight 265 lbs. so when we go up steeper hills just using the motor it seems to bog down quite a bit. The speed will drop to around 10 mph in the strongest motor setting in first gear. Though it slows down it doesn't continue to slow down. It will keep going at that reduced speed. Kind of wondering what taking the speed limiter off would do to power going up hills. Might have to experiment.
Very decent bike, I have same one, same colour. I got a rear rack included in mine though. Mine has different brakes. My tires don’t have the white lettering, thank god! I love the paint job, it turns heads. It might be slightly overpriced, but it’s worth it in my eyes. The bafang motor is powerful. Only thing is I would have liked more gears. You can change a setting on the computer that restricts the motor to not peak over 750w, that gives you nearly double battery range.
Thanks Glen! I'll be anxious to hear your thoughts on those two bikes. Also I forgot to tell you I really like your silver bracelets, where did you get them?
@@CitizenCycle925 Bikes arrived, just waiting for some good old UK sunshine lol. My silver bracelets were both presents so I have no idea where they came from or how much, Sorry dude.
Hi @CitizenCycle. Question for you: Is the rear brake triggered from the right brake handle? Your video review of the XF650 indicated its rear brake was triggered from the left brake handle? Thx again for all that you do. Best regards, Kevin
I'd never mentioned this but thanks for the great video quality 1080p60 versus the ordinary 1080 or the sub-standard 720 or totally unacceptable 480's. What do you film with? Is it a camcorder, a camera with video or is it a mobile? Let me know... Also, i love your real-world reviews with a choice of tests where you're not filming the derailleur, or your won feet like the so-called pro reviewers and we actually get to see the road ahead of you that you're travelling on. I like that the tests you do are always in the same area/place.
Thank you for noticing I wasn't sure if folks actually watched in 1080 or not, I know my cell phone always defaults to a lower quality and I have to manually switch it. I do most of my filming with a GoPro Hero 8 black. And I totally get what you're saying about the camera shot of their feet I hate that view hahaha 😂

I love your videos, great job! I'm currently looking to buy an Ebike, but I don't really understand where XF800 is getting a much higher price from. Here in the EU it's 500-600 euros difference. But all it got is a bafang motor that's a little bit more powerful compared to what's on XF650, a suspension (Ok that's nice, I give you that), and full hydraulic breaks instead of hybrid, but I would say it's not a huge difference. Seat is better on XF600, frame looks better on XF650 (Especially with hidden cable lines). Same front fort suspension, same gear shifter, same front light (With missing horn on XF800). Fenders are straight up better on XF650.
Hey.. Awsome review! I just purchased this bike and I'm a little nervous about the size. Hopefully I will be good I am a female about five six tall. Yes you could get a shorter handlebar stem so it doesn't extend so far out. you could also purchase handlebars with a steeper bend in them and angle the bend back towards you. You could easily bring those handlebars back towards you three or four inches. It's a really fun bike, I hope you enjoy it!

Yes I think the battery would be very easy to change out if you wanted to do that. I haven't checked yet but that rear shock might be easily changeable as well

Good review as usual! Considering the price, the bike suspension is a huge disappointment. And being told that customers could change out the suspension spring for something that works is rather ridiculous. Having the handle bars more forward with no adjustability to move them back is a non starter. Most people are don’t like having their head/neck bent way back for a normal ride. No simple safety items like a bell or rear brake light combined with those cheapo after-thought fenders seems like a rush-to-market and maximize profit approach. No water bottle mount...geez. The bike is good looking with the paint scheme and the brakes seems above average. I had to laugh at the tire name BFT. Big...Friggin...Tire.

Is that lawn real? It can’t be?
😂 hahaha, AstroTurf from home Depot. Grass doesn't like to grow in my yard and I'm tired of walking in mud.
Need shot of you sitting and pedaling bike to get an idea of ergonomics of bike.
I plan on doing some comparison videos with this bike in the near future so I'll try to add that in, thank you!
Soon you will need a bigger bike cave!
What’s the weight?
68lbs with battery
Over priced ! :-(
Compared to which competitor bike?
@@CitizenCycle925 My Bike the Hemiway - the battery is bigger but you have hydraulic brakes for $800 more ?
@@pnoon43 Himiway way gives you bigger battery, rear rack, tail light, slightly higher top speed. Cyrusher gives you hydraulic brakes, more power off the line for sure quicker 0 to 20 mph, and rear suspension. I feel like they are geared towards different riders..
@@CitizenCycle925 riders with more surplus cash :-o
How much does it cost?
Definitely overpriced
I just see extremely cheap parts from the front to the back. And for this price, it’s totally overpriced.
Be careful with such cheap full suspension frames. You will end in a lot of trouble, when it is one or two years old and it‘s starting to wear out.
