    As I understand it, Jordan Peterson will be in the UK around November. Get him on Talking Pints, it would be a massive hit but you may need more than 15 mins!

    In May 2016, the question of a second referendum was raised by Mr Farage in an interview with the Mirror in which he said: "In a 52-48 referendum this would be unfinished business by a long way. If the Remain campaign win two-thirds to one-third that ends it."

    • @GromDarkwater
      @GromDarkwater 2 года назад +1

      You have been told already this is a misquote by a remain supporting paper. Seeing as the mirror have been caught out before with their misquoting trick i can say with 100% certainly that's it's not true.

    How the hell is a "compromise" -- when one side says "ban xyz" and the other says "do not ban xyz" -- to only ban it partially? That's not a compromise, it's a capitulation. You're banning it.

    People with different views can still be civil and friends. That's the problem today, too much division based on political opinion. We're not supposed to be enemies.

  • @nigel.w

    The problem is that the political spectrum is continuously shifting leftward, and that with a few radical exceptions, older people understand what a debate should look like, and younger people do not, and frankly couldn't care less. We were taught at school that the way to prove you had no more to say and had lost the argument was to resort to character assassination. Sadly, most people on the left have only character assassination to say, and think the more you slag people off, rant, scream, and stop anyone else from talking is wholly legitimate. Don't ask them to discuss policies and agree to disagree or anything like that.

    Farage has developed quite good skills as an interviewer, MUCH better, fairer and more objective than the BBC lot, but this was not his best. Too much interruption and too much about Brexit. Should stick to his usual format of asking a variety of curious questions and then let the guest answer.
