  • This is my Evo 9 shell I bought January 2021 and the journey to a running, driving car!

      Appreciate it. I enjoy it. So I dont think I have it in me to stop. Haha. Have a few previous builds I plan to do slideshows for as well

      Really appreciate it! Almost too detail oriented for my own good sometimes. OCD. Haha. As for the shell, I was fortunate i bought it from a good friend. Paid $1500 for it.

    How is it that you have done this extent of work, had 25K views but only 123 subs ? Doesnt make any sense as the quality of your workmanship by far outweighs a lot of you tubers out there

      Really appreciate that. Really wasn't trying to build a channel or anything. Had a lot of people tell me I needed to do a full build series on the car while I was doing it. In hind sight, I should have.

    How much did the engine cost?

      The long block was $6200. Including $500 in shipping from Florida to California.

    see Evo 9 front chassis more hollow...and it fine with 1200hp...if you compare powerbox frame chassis, powerbox sub frame chassis more study...I'm a cars designer and not mechanic so I'm knew...(engineer terms)

      I sourced all the parts from a guy on Instagram. Rare.Evo.Parts I believe was his IG name. Not sure if he's still doing it.

      Thank you! I think I'm roughly $25k in right now. I could have done it a good amount cheaper using a bunch of used parts over new OEM. But I prefer to do things right the first time. Saves headaches later

      @@jesserooker8690 honestly its better you went new, most of the used stuff is so dated and falling apart you would have had to replace it later down the road anyway. and a lot of parts are discontinued now.

      @@vijaysaini3003 Agreed! There were several parts that I needed that had been discontinued. So I hunted down low mileage pieces. I'm numerous cases, I bought, then rebought parts because they weren't up to my standard. I'm very glad I was able to get the new parts I did. A lot of them have since been discontinued

    Do you know the details on why the car was such a mess when you got it?

      I do. He crashed it about 8-9 years ago and parked it in the garage. It sat for years then he had a body shop fix the damage. Only for him to end up buying another one instead. So he just decided to part the car out. I bought it when it was almost completely stripped.
