    Totally agree with your review.ive done 1800km on my power sx race size xl.
    Im 6 foot 3 and feels natural coming from a meta v4.2 with 482 reach and the seat tube alot shorter and steeper now which is really good.alot more centered on the bike now!
    i did consider a size large though.
    i was going to shorten the stem and get higher bars if it was too long but havnt felt the need to.its good on steep and jumps.
    Turn the power down to do an epic ride but for me its two or three hours of full power at my local like yourself.

    Hi, thanks for the great review! I currently ride a Commencal Clash in size XL.
    I was wondering if you have any experience with how the geometry "feel" differs between non-electric and electric versions of similar bikes. My Clash fits me really well, and while the geometry seems very similar on paper between the Clash and the Meta SX, I wanted to check before I pull the trigger on a Meta Power.

    I'm buying the meta power sx essential with the fox suspension. You were testing the meta power race model with the Zeb forks I think? As the Orbea you rode had the same fox fork as the essential model, how would you compare them to the Zeb. Great review!

    • @MTBJonnie

      Personally I’d opt for the Bosch motor in the Commencal. The Levo will be a more plush ride though if that’s what you’re after.

  • @havenoutdoors584
    @havenoutdoors584 4 месяца назад +1

    How was the seat tube length for you? I’ve gotten picky about having too long of seat tube on bikes and this one looks like it’s on the long side. At least on the XL frame. That was one of the biggest reasons I went with the Turbo Levo when I got an Ebike. Hoping the next version of the Meta Power addresses that.

    • @MTBJonnie
      @MTBJonnie  4 месяца назад +1

      Honestly didn’t bug me 🤷‍♂️. I have heard that complaint from others but it wasn’t an issue for me and I did take it down some 40-50% gradients outside of Boulder if you know where I’m talkin about.

    Great review, I think this seals the deal on getting the Power SX. They don't have my size in the Race version right now and I am leaning towards the Signature, would you spec up to that one if you could or go Race all day long?

      @@felipehenriquez6334 so I have been riding my bike for a few months now. I changed stem to 35mm, and it feels better. I would say I'm pretty much comfortable on the bike riding steep downhill, trails but when it comes to steep tech climbs I think I would be better on size L same applies to tech switchbacks. I'm in-between sizes so are you as well and it comes to personal preference, do you like smaller bike feel or larger more stable bike feel.

      @@kevinescott8468 hey thanks! You know I haven’t been on the decoy but I can say I personally just love a metal bike. The ONLY note is when you try to grab it by the top tube, around the shock area, the metal is a little hollowed out to make space for the shock and it’s can be painful to lift the bike from there.

      It’s a rubber cover that sort of slots itself in right above the motor. No issues so far. It is a thinner rubber so I could see it being a wear item that you may have to replace if owning the bike for a while.
