Although I don’t really understand why they work together to zone, especially with the tennis move, dynamite, and mousetrap. Maybe they were supposed to work together when zoning but when push comes to shove Tom is willing to throw Jerry under the bus to save his own life?

The pace of the game allows the technical characters like this to exist at a mid level, and allow other high MMR players to pick him up and flex him easier. One of the most fun in 1v1 right now for sure, loving the state of the game outside of BP progress, etc.

It's very hard to KO them sideways or down cuz you have so many moves to saves yourself like the rod, the rocket and the dynamite.

You can loop jabs 1&3 with down jerry or utilt. All four of these moves are very loopable with one another especially at low percents or on big bodies. Down air is icing in this context

That's the thing. If you're against a good opponent who pressures you in disadvantage, you can kiss your stock goodbye without Jerry. If you lose Jerry in nuetral, just buy as much time as possible to try and get him back. If you find yourself losing Jerry a lot it's probably because you aren't using enough normals or dynamite. T&J aren't good for just pressing buttons and hoping for a stray hit. You have to wait for an opportunity to hit your opponent or make one with projectiles.
U can dynamite drop when the enemy is keeping pressure on you eventually they will learn to stay away that’s when you can swing it at them. Kick a rocket towards them and it can launch in the air then follow up with more combos by then Jerry should be back and you can dynamite ez kill
Little do you know void, airwalker can be pretty busted when used right I mean it sets up for crazy things and can even help recover and somewhat edgeguard
As a Tom and Jerry main, this character is FIRE!!! Only things that could be improved: * Jerry's Health * Fix Hitboxes * More Kill Power (I find myself not being able to kill ANYONE with this character, even at high damage. Jerry Rocket and Fishing Rod are the few things that kill, and are incredibly hard/risky to get off)
Im a Tom and jerry main has been since released. and when you have a triple dyanmite and you throw it at your opponent you can use a fishing rod to finish them off if they have above 90dmg it depends how far they go after being hit with explosions. alongside with projectiles
One thing that can be helpful if you're running the ignite perk, the tennis balls you shoot out quickly when you don't have Jerry are a really easy ignite proc
Fishing hook is good for recovery when they are trying to down air and tennis racket is good for edge guarding at high percents would be my only additions

R3 is actually a really nice keybind for jerry shot because you are already resting on the stick for all your follow ups

Fishing rod is so fun to confirm with. Most characters that are at 120 or above will instantly get rung out if a fishing rod lands
