    Hello I have a 2020 NX300 model and the rear trunk/door hatch opens in a very weird way - when I use the remote it will open about 10-15% of the way and stop. I press the trunk button again and it will do the same thing until its completely open. When closing it will close 30% of the way, do a double beep and the trunk opens back up the whole way. The same thing happens when I use the interior trunk closing controls. Eventually it will close partially and does not lift again, so I have to incrementally close it bit by bit. This is driving me insane, please tell 🤯🤯🤯🤯😵😵😵😵😵😵😵

      If you have not replaced the lift supports - the ones in this video - then try that. The hatch will do weird things when the lift supports are bad. If you've replaced the lift supports and the hatch still does weird things, you have to look at the motor, located in the roof.

      Make sure you use the correct lift supports for your model. They are not all the same.

    Hi.
    Thanks a lot for the information.
    Mine is a 2019 RX 350, and the problem is that the tailgate opens and close by it self, randomly.
    Sometimes it opens right after I park the vehicle, and i close it but opens up again by it self. Sometimes, I found the gate open the next morning😂. It's driving me crazy...
    Any idea?

      sounds like you have an electrical short either in the motor or the switch/button under the dash - or it could be the receiver. Try replace the switch, or maybe just unplug it, see if the problem goes away.

    My liftgate, on 2007 RX 350, will close fine...it will not open at all using dash button or key fob. I assume problem with motor, now I need to figure out how to pull down the headliner where the motor resides.

      You mean the motor works to close but does not work to open?

    • @umillj
      @umillj 2 месяца назад

      Yes, that's correct. And, no clicking sounds. When opening I only hear latch and then relatch.

      I don't know,I've owned the vehicle for 3years, but, struts don't seem to have any issues holding liftgate open and no noises/issues when closing the liftgate.

    The remote successfully opens my liftgate, but it doesn't close using either the remote or the button inside the car. What steps can I take to address this issue?

    • @Merryfrankster_
      @Merryfrankster_  Год назад +1

      I would try changing the lift supports first in case they are jamming. Then if that does not work, I would check out the motor.

      Sorry I wouldn't know about a RC350. This is an RX350. The struts I linked are perfect for this vehicle. You should be able to see that in the video.
