Saw Mossy at Bombay Rock Melbourne when I was 17, he was ‘nuts talented’ then. I’m 63 now and saw him at the Power House Brisbane in 2022 he’s even more ‘Nuts talented now, love the way he’s added ‘humour’ to his repertoire…….an Aussie Legend for sure !
What an absolute master of voice and guitar , a truly underrated talent . love the way Ian says he always trying to improve as a guitarist " how can you improve on perfection my friend ? "
David Thomas he is definantly one of my idols too! hes in that small group of guitarist that know it can never be fully mastered but man him, diesel, chris cheany, tommy Emanuel and Cameron muncey are 5 aussies sure sound bloody close!

Whhhoooooooly crap!!!! I'm an Aussie and nearly 40 so I've known the song for most of my life. But since the [Awesome] show 'Outback Truckers' started, I've fallen in love with this tune! Old Moss is clearly a disgustingly BRILLIANT talent that'd make most people sick (with envy)! Gifted guitarist, writer, and a freaking Great voice.... Absolutely Disgusting!!!! You make me sick! But Mossy, if you ever get a chance to read this.... just know that this version of this song - which is already ridiculously BRILLIANT, is now one of the best things my 40 year old ears have ever been privileged enough to hear. I truly mean that! Thank you, Now all you need to do is release it on Blu Ray!

i agree.....a bit sketchy mate, add a keyboard, another guitar perhaps, back up vocals and less weird jazz attempts, then the song will sound listenable again.
if yu look hes doing a pub gig, ive been to quite a few , and he was a fantastic entertainer and did a lit of ad libing havin fun and doin versions that were not studio polished , but real pub style in yor eye rock n roll. Fuck yu could even hit him up for a request at the end of the show. i was at a few pub gigs in Darwin when he was the doin his first solo tours, after chisel. He just put on the second best pub gig i have ever been to, blew me and Billy away. The best pub gig was chisel plantation hotel coffs, late 70s i think. i was standing next to one of the big speaker stacks off chops on a 4 way dot. Nuff said.

+dji zzah - Ughhh, HELL NO! Less is DEFINITELY more! This was fucking awesome and raw!
+ZEGO24x Agreed! Awesome rock & roll guitarist. Mossy rocks!
Turn it up. Better than the original. He was playing rythym and lead. Unbelievable version. Get a grip man.

Russ Pearson i understood about 3/4 of what you said, but thx for sharing
Um, nah.
Mossy needed a better band and approach to this tune. The rhythm solos were embarrassing and I'm guessing unplanned.
National Blues Treasure! Go Mossy, need more concerts.
