I played when it came out, beat whatever story they had at the time then stopped, just bought it on ps5 and from the time it first came out to now. Along with the ps5 upgrade. Just wow. Now im watching videos about secrets and other things and im just blown away in every video whether a gameplay mechanic like the melee jetpack thing that makes the game feel like returnal now
@@cvionis depends on your taste, i got it on sale last month and 200hrs in and im still hooked... the main quest takes 30hrs to complete more or less and upgrading all your equipment to the max will take you another 50hrs, theres also other game modes such as survival which makes everything harder and permadeath which is survival but with only 1 life, after you die your save file is wiped theres also a lot of cosmetics you can get on daily and weekly missions annnnnnd finally theres expeditions which is like a seasonal thing where you can complete a list of milestones in a new file along with the community for limited time rewards
@@cvionis honestly as the person above me says it depends on your taste, like im maybe only like 5 hours into the main quest and i have a total of 60-70 hours and thats from exploring, and building my fleet up as well as my own ships. Id say if that sounds like something youd wanna play then id recommend it.
Hey bob, just wanted to say that it is possible to reach well over 3k ly warp range with a good Explorer or Exotic ship, so far, i've managed to reach 3870.4 ly warp range with a max base hyperdrive range Explorer, and 3539.7 ly range with a max-base hyperdrive range Exotic ship. Though an S class freighter with 6x 250 ly hyperdrive upgrades, and max adjacency with all hyperdrive blueprint modules installed, can reach 6400.1 ly warp range.
@@SurvivalBobGaming Full disclosure, I reached those numbers via the save editor, setting the explorer and exotic ship base stats to their respective maximum possible values according to the wiki, and using 6x 298 ly X-class modules. Just to see what is theoretically possible to reach. The freighter however, is easy enough for anyone to max out, provided they have and S-class frighter, and know where to find 250ly range salvaged hyperdrives from a single derelict freighter system.

Bob, I don't really get what's special about those systems compared to the other 17.9999 quintillion undiscovered systems. I only have 220 hours on this game so you might be in a different mind set than I am.
Bases in Likholu do not appear on the Teleportation Terminal, but if you find a way to get there (joining a friend who is there), the station will be in your "recent stations" list as Likholu Cycler. But DO NOT summon your Freighter there, it will delete your freighter base. At least it did mine. I had to restore it from a backup. It's possible it may be deleted even if you don't summon your freighter. You can still join a player who is in Likholu. The terminal still sells unlimited amounts of stuff. There is a really awesome base named Zero Centre, and several others. I don't know how to get there without save editing, but save editing does work. But I don't recommend it unless you know how to backup and recover your freighter base!
I’m in love with the anomalous regions of the Euclid. My past few weeks ingame have been spent exploring The Fade and the other strange regions on the very far edges of the galaxy. I had no idea the very interior had an anomalous region too! Shoutout to you for providing access to these places for new explorers. And shoutout to Usagi for discovering these strange places to begin with, and other early anomaly-dwellers! I‘m not leaving the Euclid anytime soon, but I’m curious if these core systems can be found in other galaxies. Can these hidden systems be warped to via planet code? I’m also curious to see if the emergency warp can discover any new, strange regions near the galactic edges and corners, so I suppose that will be my next few weeks! Thanks for the in-depth video!
i think he mentions in the video that if you try putting in the code for this system, it will give you an error and teleport you to a close-by different system that you can actually go to, which is not as cool. dammit i actually remember passing through this exact Likholu way long ago, and i didn't realize what it was and paid no mind to it, and just passed through. stupid me
I thought I recognised the name Likholu and I just remembered that back when I was based in Euclid, my freighter expeditions would very often travel through a system called Likholu

@@SurvivalBobGaming : Long ago I lived in Japan for a year and a half and learned that rabbits are among the prominent animal characters in folk culture and children’s stories there (as they are in the West). They also turn up in paintings, including some famous comic paintings centuries old. I saw them in an old Kyoto temple and they were truly delightful. Not surprisingly, this long tradition has spilled over into Japanese anime. Fun fact: in Japan the animal symbol for rapid procreation is not the rabbit, as it is in the US, it is the mouse. Makes sense.
I have a Freighter with 6310.7 Range (All drives plus 6 S cores) No cheats. So it's quite possible. My current Scout has a 3121.0 range that still needs work but you can get that up to around the 3400 marks without cheating. I found a few of these systems a few years ago before you could build more than one base. And just forgot about them until now. Will try and catch you on Sunday. TTFN
So, 3,000+ ly jumps can be made using exploit to o tain god tier living ships. The jist is that 2 star ships become one the ship you are turning into a god tier ship gets it's in inventory replaced by the first ship including mods. Take a maxxed out hauler with full hyperdrive upgrades and merg it into a living ship. The standard ship hyperdrive modules transfer in, but then you can add living ship hyperdrive to double up. With adjacency bonuses, 3,000+ is doable.
My Likholu bases aren’t in my teleporter list but still have the Likholu Cycler space station in my save. I make it a point to always go back before too long so it doesn’t fall off of my Space stations list.
Interesting, but they look like other systems. I would really like an outer rim system where looking away from the center shows pure blackness, no stars at all. Just the hint of another galaxy in the distance. Too often, on the rim, I see stars farther out, but I can't warp to them. They aren't too far away, I just don't get a "warp lock" on them.
Completely off-topic, but I remember in the first month or so after the games release? I warped hundreds of times to get to the center and, being one of the first people there, discovered and named many many systems and planets right around the center.. Until they released a new update which overhauled previously discovered systems to start the systems basically fresh. Unfortunately I had already warped into the next galaxy
I noticed myself the other day while galaxy hopping that there were systems at what would be the center. You had to zoom in without using the galactic center map setting. But I couldn’t reach them. Guess it’s time to min/max a ship to try to reach them.
Though I've no idea how, I managed to find such a system a couple of year's ago and of the six planet's and three moon's. Two of them were paradise, one of which looks so much like Earth, I named it Earth. When the abiltiy to find supposed "Secrete System's" was released. I realized that I had accidently fouond one and in the two year's since still reside there. I never broadcasted the location nor the name. And to this day, no one else has ever been there. It's mine and mine alone.
So..After some testing, Likholu seems safe enough. No crashes or anything weird. If you go, be sure to visit the space station. Your base won't be selectable but you can always go to the spacestation from a portal as long as it stays in your visited stations list. If you emergency warp to other systems though (I even found one that I got 'First Contact' in, the moment you open the galaxy map it won't let you close it again, or move around in it or anything. EDIT: Also..The market at the space station in Likholu still never runs out of stuffs.

Freighter hyperdrive with +250ly modules caps at ~6400ly range so that should be easy to get over 3k even with less than idea modules. Explorer ships with close to 80% hyperdrive bonus cap at around 3350ly with +250ly S modules or at around 3970ly with +300ly X modules...so those are your main options. I also got an Exotic ship with a 64% hyperdrive bonus to just over 3600ly with pretty good X modules as well. But getting enough near max X modules is a very long and very expensive process so my best suggestion to you is get yourself an S freighter if you don't have one already and get it six S class hyperdrive modules.
Cool. I have been to Likholu in a few of my older saves, but hadn't noticed that it wasn't showing up anymore. I'll have to try restoring an old save to check out if I can still get there. I'll definitely be catching the livestream on Sunday so I can accept your invite.
I have a base near the center, but I galaxy hopped by selecting galactic core destination, and highlighted the path line and just held till I warped. HD was at 2500 at the time. Took me straight to the next Galaxy.
Hello SurvivalBob! Enjoyed hearing you in Sword’s podcast tonight! I am one of those No Man’s Sky old timers who can tell you things about the center. Like this - when you flew out of the center towards the edge of the haze zone, you actually could have warped out. When you are in the center, the galactic map shows your star position as outside of the center. The first star you look at you couldn’t warp to because it shows in the map as your current location. All the stars next to it you could have warped to because their distance was listed as 59 ly, 86 ly, all next to your misplaced current location. Weird, huh?

Okay, I just watched the video and have questions! Does that mean that Likholu can be found on the map outside the haze? Do the systems leave the haze once you connect them to the actual start by being there and then finding it like you did? Great explanation by the way that let me know my video was totally wrong...lol

Think of it this way - when you in the hidden star system flying around the planets, the game thinks you are in the center, but once you enter the galactic map, a switch-a-roo takes place and it thinks you are in a random star system outside the haze and it calculates all the warp distances in the galactic map off of that new location. So you fly around in Likholu (or any hidden system), you are at the center. You enter the galactic map, your position is switched with another star system. Does that make sense? It’s tricky, I know!
One time back around the early release days of nms, I had a pre-order copy and never updated the first patch, basically I finished Euclid and went onto the second system Hilbert I believe, and some glitch had me wake up in a system that apparently was deleted, in the same way you wake up in a new galaxy it said I was in odyalutai or something like that, turns out you couldn't actually fly there and the only way to get there was through this glitch, I'm not sure if it's know but it happened to me and I still have the save on my ps4, even after the anomaly update I could still tp to it, awesome game
I was recommended a video from a small channel about a “trick” to getting close to the center yesterday. It seemed super far still so I researched it, and while their tip was indeed bogus I found out about how there is a star system at the center of every galaxy. The portal code for it is the 1st planet of the 256th star system with position (-1, -1, -1); hexadecimal 0FFFFFFFFFFF. Protip: Portal glyphs are a hexadecimal numbering system (e.g. 0-9 then A-F then 10 being equal to decimal 16), and the devs used a signed (as in pos/neg sign) data type. It’s news to me that there are multiple there though, so that’s really neat. The portal to it should block people from getting there just like how you said it blocks the one you put on screen though. However there are cheats a PC player can use to get there, and then invite console players. I’m also wondering if it’d be possible to like stock up on fuel from the closest system (Portal: 000000000000 does work) and sublight all the way to the center 🤔.
It's possible. 3857.3 is the max ship hyperdrive range. It's archieved with a 182 base hyperdrive stat (max base hyperdrive that is only found on explorers), 6 x clas upgrade with 300lj range and 100% effeciency and a atlas figurine that gives a additional 50lj range
That's not possible without save editing higher than normal max values though. At max, a legit Explorer using 6x 300 ly X-class modules and all hyperdrive blueprint modules installed will be able to reach just over 3800 ly But you can certainly reach up to 6400.1 ly range with a fully upgraded S class freighter with 6x 250 ly modules and all blueprints installed :)
I'm new to no man's sky just left my first planet but I figured if this game was so big that we would be able to have some what of a possibility to go the distance? But I'm new so just a thought anyways..
When the game luanched i spent 4 days straight speed running to the center, i warped to atlas stations for free fuel, used black holes etc and i remember these systems, a black hole somewhere on the perimeter took me to this part of euclid so maybe its still there? I eventually went into the center and restarted.
Back last March when I started playing nms I somehow managed to accidentally get into likholu! I discovered one of these new planets you were talking about there. I built a base but it went the way of the dinosaurs. My link is gone
Okay this is very weird I had just watched this video last night. This morning I was trying to warp my Freighter to another system and I accidentally saw the Likholu system. It was like my warp map went crazy and there it was it was way out of jump range so I couldn't go but wow I saw it.

Hmm. Have you ever heard of anything like this happening? I just had something really weird happen to me. I used a portal to go to a world with first wave white squid ships and bought one.. Then I spawned my freighter and landed it inside of their and switched to my exotic yellow mosquito thing without the fins to sell it. I sold it, and then it was replaced with my favorite hauler that I keep stocked with my cobalt and then I flew it back to my freighter and flew back to the station I'n my normal upgraded ship to try to load an auto save and sell some first wave exotics for some storage and upgrades and when I got there in there before I could restart the save I noticed there was another white squid already there and was pretty excited I ran up to it and noticed there wasn't a driver.. Turns out the ship is mine, so I hop in it and immediately notice it now has my cobalt stored in it and the same amount of cargo spaces as my hauler did. So now.. I have a A class White tiger squid with 47 cargo slots and 8 tech slots and my hauler which was actually my favorite ship of my fleet is just gone. I also own the original S class squid with 20 storage slots. Somehow, the game reskinned my hauler with a white tiger squid. Oh dang, sorry this is so long. Have you heard of anything like this ever happening??
Squid ships are everywhere, though the red and black are the most common, however I did find a yellow and black one during expedition 11 I did name the it yellow and black squid ship from memory.
I have been trying to get a friend code ahead of time for this stream as ive never seen those systems, all i can find is an old xbox friend code from early 2020 on discord 😅

I don't have a Perma save there as this system is known as the Perma Save Killer. When going there from a teleporter you used to spawn in the middle of the planet then glitch out to space and fall. Most didn't make it and then people got scared to go. You can check my discord though, there may be someone in there that has made it. I honestly never even tried.

Last I checked (which was admittedly like 4 months ago), fuel is consumed by 1 unit per jump. And you are also quite heavily limited by drive range; In this instance, anything under 3000 range is useless, since there are no places to jump in-between.

My freighter could make the jump to the center easily. Range of 3800.1 light years. That's with only full engines and one s class hd upgrade. I have room for 5 more and a potential range of 5050 light years. So it's definitely a possible jump.

I've got about 3200 on a explorer that's not edited as on xbox. Just took lot of rolls to get 6 warp drive tech near 250ly

I believe they can only be reached by using a Teleportation Gate.

Two of them were paradise, one of which looks so much like Earth, I named it Earth. When the abiltiy to find supposed "Secrete System's" was released. I realized that I had accidently fouond one and in the two year's since still reside there. I never broadcasted the location nor the name. And to this day, no one else has ever been there. It's mine and mine alone.
How do you know it's a "secret" system?
So..After some testing, Likholu seems safe enough. No crashes or anything weird. If you go, be sure to visit the space station. Your base won't be selectable but you can always go to the spacestation from a portal as long as it stays in your visited stations list.
If you emergency warp to other systems though (I even found one that I got 'First Contact' in, the moment you open the galaxy map it won't let you close it again, or move around in it or anything.
EDIT: Also..The market at the space station in Likholu still never runs out of stuffs.

@@RevolutionaryOven Which galaxy? For the Likholu system? I still do, but the save is in permadeath mode. You can't join me as far as I know on any non permadeath save.

Freighter hyperdrive with +250ly modules caps at ~6400ly range so that should be easy to get over 3k even with less than idea modules. Explorer ships with close to 80% hyperdrive bonus cap at around 3350ly with +250ly S modules or at around 3970ly with +300ly X modules...so those are your main options. I also got an Exotic ship with a 64% hyperdrive bonus to just over 3600ly with pretty good X modules as well. But getting enough near max X modules is a very long and very expensive process so my best suggestion to you is get yourself an S freighter if you don't have one already and get it six S class hyperdrive modules.
Cool. I have been to Likholu in a few of my older saves, but hadn't noticed that it wasn't showing up anymore. I'll have to try restoring an old save to check out if I can still get there. I'll definitely be catching the livestream on Sunday so I can accept your invite.

I have a base near the center, but I galaxy hopped by selecting galactic core destination, and highlighted the path line and just held till I warped. HD was at 2500 at the time. Took me straight to the next Galaxy.

Hello SurvivalBob! Enjoyed hearing you in Sword’s podcast tonight! I am one of those No Man’s Sky old timers who can tell you things about the center. Like this - when you flew out of the center towards the edge of the haze zone, you actually could have warped out. When you are in the center, the galactic map shows your star position as outside of the center. The first star you look at you couldn’t warp to because it shows in the map as your current location. All the stars next to it you could have warped to because their distance was listed as 59 ly, 86 ly, all next to your misplaced current location. Weird, huh?

Okay, I just watched the video and have questions! Does that mean that Likholu can be found on the map outside the haze? Do the systems leave the haze once you connect them to the actual start by being there and then finding it like you did? Great explanation by the way that let me know my video was totally wrong...lol
@@SurvivalBobGaming Lol; it is crazy how complicated the hidden systems are! Think of it this way - when you in the hidden star system flying around the planets, the game thinks you are in the center, but once you enter the galactic map, a switch-a-roo takes place and it thinks you are in a random star system outside the haze and it calculates all the warp distances in the galactic map off of that new location. So you fly around in Likholu (or any hidden system), you are at the center. You enter the galactic map, your position is switched with another star system. Does that make sense? It’s tricky, I know!

One time back around the early release days of nms, I had a pre-order copy and never updated the first patch, basically I finished Euclid and went onto the second system Hilbert I believe, and some glitch had me wake up in a system that apparently was deleted, in the same way you wake up in a new galaxy it said I was in odyalutai or something like that, turns out you couldn't actually fly there and the only way to get there was through this glitch, I'm not sure if it's know but it happened to me and I still have the save on my ps4, even after the anomaly update I could still tp to it, awesome game

I was recommended a video from a small channel about a “trick” to getting close to the center yesterday. It seemed super far still so I researched it, and while their tip was indeed bogus I found out about how there is a star system at the center of every galaxy. The portal code for it is the 1st planet of the 256th star system with position (-1, -1, -1); hexadecimal 0FFFFFFFFFFF. Protip: Portal glyphs are a hexadecimal numbering system (e.g. 0-9 then A-F then 10 being equal to decimal 16), and the devs used a signed (as in pos/neg sign) data type.
It’s news to me that there are multiple there though, so that’s really neat. The portal to it should block people from getting there just like how you said it blocks the one you put on screen though. However there are cheats a PC player can use to get there, and then invite console players. I’m also wondering if it’d be possible to like stock up on fuel from the closest system (Portal: 000000000000 does work) and sublight all the way to the center 🤔.

It's possible. 3857.3 is the max ship hyperdrive range. It's archieved with a 182 base hyperdrive stat (max base hyperdrive that is only found on explorers), 6 x clas upgrade with 300lj range and 100% effeciency and a atlas figurine that gives a additional 50lj range
Always wondered what would happen if you went the other way, rather than galactic centre
Eventually, a boundary will be reached.
If you get an explorer with 6 s tier hyperdrive upgrades you can jump nearly 6,000 lightyears.
That's not possible without save editing higher than normal max values though.
At max, a legit Explorer using 6x 300 ly X-class modules and all hyperdrive blueprint modules installed will be able to reach just over 3800 ly
But you can certainly reach up to 6400.1 ly range with a fully upgraded S class freighter with 6x 250 ly modules and all blueprints installed :)

When the game luanched i spent 4 days straight speed running to the center, i warped to atlas stations for free fuel, used black holes etc and i remember these systems, a black hole somewhere on the perimeter took me to this part of euclid so maybe its still there? I eventually went into the center and restarted.
I’m pretty sure a save file editor can be used to change your location, if all else fails and you know what you’re doing.
Back last March when I started playing nms I somehow managed to accidentally get into likholu! I discovered one of these new planets you were talking about there. I built a base but it went the way of the dinosaurs. My link is gone

2950 jumprange on my explorer and 4200 on freighter. Ive seen video of freighter with 6500 range.
Okay this is very weird I had just watched this video last night. This morning I was trying to warp my Freighter to another system and I accidentally saw the Likholu system. It was like my warp map went crazy and there it was it was way out of jump range so I couldn't go but wow I saw it.

I think Likholu is just a normal system now, the glyphs for it before lead to it, but it isn't a hidden system and doesn't have infinite items anymore

You never actually reach the galactic core. When you select it and warp it takes you to a new galaxy.

Hmm. Have you ever heard of anything like this happening? I just had something really weird happen to me. I used a portal to go to a world with first wave white squid ships and bought one.. Then I spawned my freighter and landed it inside of their and switched to my exotic yellow mosquito thing without the fins to sell it. I sold it, and then it was replaced with my favorite hauler that I keep stocked with my cobalt and then I flew it back to my freighter and flew back to the station I'n my normal upgraded ship to try to load an auto save and sell some first wave exotics for some storage and upgrades and when I got there in there before I could restart the save I noticed there was another white squid already there and was pretty excited I ran up to it and noticed there wasn't a driver.. Turns out the ship is mine, so I hop in it and immediately notice it now has my cobalt stored in it and the same amount of cargo spaces as my hauler did. So now.. I have a A class White tiger squid with 47 cargo slots and 8 tech slots and my hauler which was actually my favorite ship of my fleet is just gone. I also own the original S class squid with 20 storage slots. Somehow, the game reskinned my hauler with a white tiger squid. Oh dang, sorry this is so long. Have you heard of anything like this ever happening??
Yep. There’s a glitch that does that but it usually when you are in multiplayer with other people around. Sorry you lost your Hauler man.

I don't have a Perma save there as this system is known as the Perma Save Killer. When going there from a teleporter you used to spawn in the middle of the planet then glitch out to space and fall. Most didn't make it and then people got scared to go. You can check my discord though, there may be someone in there that has made it. I honestly never even tried.

all you need is maxed out hyper drive fuel lol you dont need any hyperdrive range
Last I checked (which was admittedly like 4 months ago), fuel is consumed by 1 unit per jump.
And you are also quite heavily limited by drive range; In this instance, anything under 3000 range is useless, since there are no places to jump in-between.
I love this game, but my artimis quest has a game breaking glitch. Haven't played in weeks 😭😭

My freighter could make the jump to the center easily. Range of 3800.1 light years. That's with only full engines and one s class hd upgrade. I have room for 5 more and a potential range of 5050 light years. So it's definitely a possible jump.
