Just a couple of questions... - So where are you currently employed? (Still Shakespeare?) - How long is left on your current employment contract? - Can you call yourself a Whisky (no e) distiller if your not in Scotland? 🥰 - have you considered setting up a personal website (with online CV) to more effectively promote yourself to distilleries? - you should create a patrion to help you with living expenses between contracts (not a question, you just should)

Only Ireland has removed the "e" from Whiskey. Scotland, Canada, the USA and Japan, amongst other nations still spell it with an "e".
@ nope. I’m afraid Scotland spells it sans ‘e’. It’s a ‘Geographic Indicator’ a special type of protection offered to products. Some countries do not abide by this and others argue that traditional “Scottish” brewing and distilling methodology allow them to spell it Whisky (Japan and Canada). Although they can’t call it scotch. I haven’t tried any Canadian whiskEy but I have to admit that /some/ Japanese distilleries have earned the right to spell it Whisky. (By my own personal opinion only;)
@Tony Oliver Hi! I'm back in Canada, just taking a little rest now. I have a huge backlog of videos to edit and post still from my time working in England. It's the story of how I got a job working as a whisky distiller in Scotland, so I dare say it's alright. I was just thinking of setting up a website, I will do it in the next few weeks. I'd like to set up a Patreon too, I am just waiting for this channel to get a little bit bigger.
Congratulations Miss Brewbird on achieving a milestone on subscribers. I must say your productions are always educational. Another inspiring video. This time you told a great story how you ended up working in the distilleries in the UK for 2 years. It proved that persistence paid off.
You will make it sooner than you think, I first saw you with Jesse a couple of of weeks ago and was “totally hooked”. You zoomed from 1000 past 2000, 10000 will be here soon. P.S.-thank you for the “good vibes” and your cheerful demeanor!
Are you sticking with this as your career? Also i have a few questions about your experiences with all the different types of stills. If you wouldn't mind pinging me on LinkedIn www.linkedin.com/in/chadcromwell/
Congratulations on the 1k subs! Interesting story of how you got started. Just goes to show that you need to make your own luck or put yourself out there at least. Hope you continue to have work coming your way. What advice would you give someone who is just starting out distilling? Am a fairly experienced homebrewer so mashing, fermentation, beer recipes are fine. Interested in gin and whiskey mainly. Have watched your gin recipe vids and found some good guidance there. Cheers
Thanks. I'd say that you already have a good base with your brewing background. Just read up on safety and how to run a still beforehand. Other than that, just have fun with it and take some of the beer you made and try to distil it. You'll get a feel for distilling as you keep doing it.
You are incredibly inspiring. I've loved your videos immensely, as well as your persistence in making them and your honesty within them. Also, seeing a woman in this often highly traditional, male-dominated field has given me so, so much encouragement and pride! Thank you for that and so much more.
Your video always make me smile. Because seeing doing your best in a foreign country is admirable. I’m in middle of 50 and preparing things to be a distiller while working. Congrat on 1k subscriber.
Wow, I knew that you were very knowledgeable about distilling but until I saw this video, I didn't know how qualified are actually are, you should start your own distillery,I'm certain it would take off
How do you not have 10k subscribers? I hope this channel becomes a monster influence on the drinks industry.
Aww thanks, hopefully this channel can get there soon.
Nice video, good to know your background, congrats for the 1k subs!!!! Keep up the good work
Thanks! Will do!💪
