Nice tut!!! but I still feel like no matter if I follow all the steps and get the same result, it takes more to know about animating 3d logos. Im talking mainly about the effects and their potential. Im still discovering the uses of each one.
By the way, is there any special reason to use a forest picture? What if you use another?
althought this tutorial is at the upper level ov my AE competence it was delivered in a exceptoinal way . The delivery was straight forward, not a word was wasted nor an incorrect action on the directions the tutorial was well planned and obviously a lot of pre-preparation had been don'e to make the end product so direct and to the point. Without doubt one of if not the best Adobe tutorial which I have watched on RUclips. Many thanks for a great job.
Frozen logo is flat not 3D only the Disney at the top is slightly 3D
so the effect works for flatter logo
Also Microsoft logo is flat and even has flat colors on the icon and the gold still works well
What it does is cause all the edges to bevel as the surface f the logo is raised to give that 3D effect for the gold
It doesn’t react with any form hinting on the logo itself Like Coca Cola in th beginning has specific lighting in the first O but that isn’t reflected in the 3D gold pass

Fast Blur is obsolete, now it is Gaussian Blur.
When I type in fast blur obsolete doesn't show up
what the different between "Leave all attributes in Background, and Move all attributes into the new composition. can you explain deeper about this when we create a composition.
When you have any layer and you have applied any effects to that layer and when you try to pre-compose it will ask you:
"Leave all attributes in Background" - This will remove any added effects from the layer and it will be applied to the pre-comp you have just created.
"Move all attributes into the new composition" - if you select this, the added effect will be as it is, there will be no change.
