- The garden around the greenhouse is ever changing as the summer season goes on. I’m just thrilled how it is looking (though we are super dry here). Care tips included on some of the plants around the greenhouse. I also need to plant up some delphiniums grown from seed. Tips and info on those!
I order my seed mainly from Johnny's Seed.
Viele schöne Blumen im Garten, aber sie sind der Mittelpunkt und somit die schönste und lustigste Blume.💚💚👍👍
Good night from Australia,
We are new viewers to your Chanel.
Love the greenhouse and your passion for your garden,
Congratulations on your efforts 👏👏👏👏
Love Fiona and John 🪴🦘🙏
Hello Fiona and John and welcome!!! So glad you are here!!
Your garden is beautiful
Thanks Beth!
Awesome views Dawn. Your video streamed right after Laura! My 2 favorite gardeners back to back!! It's going to be a great day. ! Eagerly awaiting your arrival in Montana. :)
Awesome that’s what I like to hear!! You are sooo sweet. 😊🙏🏻
This is so inspirational! I love the drifts of plants you designed! Thank you! This is the look I want!
Yay! Thank you! I’m so happy I provided inspiration. Exactly what I want to do!
Also i absolutely love your Hartley Green House and your cute little garden shed.❤❤
Thank you Judy!! I appreciate that!! My greenhouse is from BCGreenhouses out of Canada. Their greenhouses can withstand very high snow loads and high winds. Plus the span between the frames for windows is quite a bit wider so less bars to block your view 😊
Looks fabulous..........what a gorgeous greenhouse!
Lovely property!
Thanks so much!
Hi Dawn, your garden is looking Stunning, I love the drifts of flowers and gorgeous colour combinations you’ve chosen, I’m now doing this in my garden ( albeit on a much smaller scale 😁) I live in southern Australia, it’s winter here at the moment so not a lot going on in the garden but you have certainly inspired me to add even more plants to fill the gaps, look forward to seeing your Beautiful garden in the coming months. ❤ ( I also love your greenhouse and that Amazing wild flower meadow🌼🌷🌿🪻🌺🍀🌸).Thank you from down under 🇦🇺
Hi Barb!! Thanks so much!! It’s been a lot of fun (and work)!! What is winter like where you are? Do you get really cold there? You’ll see I really tuck my plants in close. If it says spacing 12 to 24 I’m probably going with the 12. I have a lot of weeds to contend with so keeping the close seems to help 😊 So happy your here!!
@@SeasonalDesignsbyDawn I live in Victoria, our winter temps occasionally get down to 0 degrees Celsius, ( 32 Fahrenheit ) sometimes a bit lower, but not very often, so it’s not too bad, we’ve never had snow where I live, thank goodness 😁 I don’t think I could cope with snow. We are having a very mild winter so far this year and we’ve just had quite a cool summer, we didn’t have any days over 40 degrees (104 Fahrenheit ) which is very unusual, our gardens are a bit confused with plants budding now when they shouldn’t be, it’s going to be interesting to see what Spring brings. ❤️🇦🇺
The greenhouse garden is looking really lovely. The drifts of colour are so pleasing to the eye.
Thanks so much Helen, I appreciate the nice words 😊
Everything looks so lush and beautiful 😍
Thank you! 🤗
What a beautiful garden! Amazing! Greeting from Western Australia.👋👋 I'm your new subscriber.
Thanks so much and welcome!! So great to have you here!! What are you growing in Australia right now?
@@SeasonalDesignsbyDawn Now that we have winter, there is nothing much to do, and we still have to wait for the flowers that will bloom in the spring. I can't upload videos like you because I've been busy with my dog's illness. Your beautiful garden inspires me. I like what you have done.
@@SeasonalDesignsbyDawn The plants I have are the same as the plants you have.
Oh no I’m so sorry to hear your dog has been sick. I hope he/ she gets better soon 🙏🏼
@@SeasonalDesignsbyDawn Thanks for your kind words, Dawn.🙏 She is getting better with the right medicine after many medical changes.
I can’t wait for the next video. I love your garden.
Thanks so much💕🙏🏻
Absolutely colorful and beautiful! Thanks for the tips all awesome info!
Thank you and you are so very welcome 🤗
Dawn everything looks wonderful!
Thanks so much Amanda!!
I looove the color palette you use for your garden!
Oh thank you so much Alysia! 😊
Beautiful!! It’s grown so much. I’m terrified to cut my salvia back. This is my first year of having them and I love them so much. They have been so beautiful and grown so much. I have four but ones an annual I believe. I can’t wait to add more next year.
Thank you 😊. Don’t cut back the annual salvia. No need it will bloom all summer for you 😊
@@SeasonalDesignsbyDawn thank you. It’s a beautiful and full of blooms. I did cut back a little on my other Sylvia and they are blooming again and so beautiful.
Your garden looks like a Monet painting ❤
Ohh thank you so much. So nice of you to say that. Love the comparison 💕
Hi Dawn! Another beautiful segment in your garden to enjoy. Great points on cutting back flowers-I was stung several years ago while cutting back coleus and it really hurt! How many hours do you spend in your garden each day? You have so much talent in laying out each area and the results are amazing. Looking forward to more……..Thank You!
Thanks so much!! Yes those bee stings in the hand hurt a lot!! Time in the garden depends on what else au have going on. But evening or early mornings are when I water for about an hour and then weekends are when I do a lot of the work. So I could spend 4 hours on a Saturday working out there, weeding, dead heading, rearranging etc
Really enjoyed this video…..gorgeous gardens 😊
Thanks so much 😊🙏🏻
Looks amazing Dawn!😊
Thanks so much! 😊
Oops meant to write Channel.
Thanks Dawn.
😊🪴
Love your garden , so pretty.
Thank you 😊
The mass of Yarrow and the purple flowers looks so well together. Wow how tall is your Karl Forester grass? Mine is not that tall -- I see you tied it up. As always it's a beautiful garden.
Yea it got tall 5 feet and got wet and was flopping all over my flowers which is weird as I have it elsewhere and it’s never flopped. It gets plenty of sun so IDK
Hi Dawn, your garden is so inspiring!!!
I have purchased Nepeta and Salvias after I watched your Spring garden video.
It definitely makes a huge difference when you plant so many plants of one kind in the drifts you do.
I wonder do you buy wholesale and have it shipped or can you find them locally? I would like the hummilo plant too but I have never seen it locally
Hello!! I’m so happy I could inspire you!! I have an local garden center here who will order in anything I want. I would tell you to go do the same. Go in spring and bring a list. I do have ability to order from a grower which is really nice the quantity I need for some of my larger projects. If your in Wisconsin I would tell you to go to Frenz Garden Center in Theinsville Wisconsin. They will order what you want. Happy planting!!
Your flower garden is set up so nice , wide open and so colorful like a big meadow... is the cats pajamas also called cat mint ? I have that can't tell if it's the same plant.
Thank you! Yes, it is a garden that blends right into my 8 acre Prairie. That cat pajama is a cat mint. There are many varieties this one blooms and stays quite short and blooms from the tip of the plant all the way to the base!
I didn't think that you could top the Nepeta/Salvia combo, but the Stachy's Humelo/Yarrow is beautiful too!
Thank you so much. So excited to see it all in its 2nd year!!
nice garden
Thank you 😊
Oh my goodness your flower garden's are so very beautiful, question????? How many seasons does it take for the coneflowers and yarrow to bloom and spread. I need some help. I really am very interested in the yarrow. We have some wild white yarrow in our feild, but i would love to have some of the other colors, yellow, that sunrise color and some pinish color. Thank you for sharing sharing this with us And thank you or anyone that would please help me. SOS ❤
Judy this is Moonshine Yarrow which is a stiffer yarrow. Buy a few plants and pop them into your field. Give them a year or two. Do not cut them back until spring so they can re-seed. Good luck
Wow I just subscribed:)
You did that’s awesome! Welcome 🙏🏻 😊
Not sure where you are located, but curious how hot it still is for you, planting these? I want to try fall planting some native Delphiniums because I tried early spring last year and they just rotted... But a lot of advice I read says that they don't like it hot, either. Do you have to wait for it to be cooled down somewhat to plant these? Or do you just make sure to keep them well-watered while they are establishing before fall?
I grew these from seed and planted in June. They do not like hot weather you are right!! They are tall and blooming right now and yea I water regularly 😊
What is the name of the purple with the yarrow?
Stachys Hummelo …. She’s pretty right!!
