There is a misuse of a term - semitone. She says there are 7 semitones in an octave which is not correct. There are 7 notes in a scale spanning an octave. There are 12 semitones in an octave. Later, talking about the circle of fifths, she says there are 5 semitones between the C and G, which is the same mistake. There are 5 notes between them C, D, E, F, G, but there are 7 semitones between them. I suspect it's a problem of translation to English.
This gets into fractals that John Coltrane used in his tune Giant Steps. Great stuff! I went to a performing arts high school, majoring in Jazz Studies and Composition and we didn't even get this deep into theory. I wish we incorporated math like this back in Jazz Comp. Giant Steps would have made a lot more since back then.
Giffy just start with learning the key signatures, take a basic lick or scale and run it thru all 12keys starting at C, then F, then Bb and so on clockwise around the circle of fifths. That will get you solid on understanding the circle of fifths and using it during practice. Then, when your comfortable with that, move in the patterns like shown in red on the video. Then your getting into fractals and John Coltrane Style, Yeah!!! Don't forget to practice with a METRONOME! 🎶

she mistakenly said B#. She meant Bb, because B# enharmonically is equal to C. just like E# enharmonically is F.
