i thought i had discovered a new youtuber but it turns out it just the 我爱中国菜 guy we used to watch in high school! xD it's awesome to see how much you've grown man, good luck with everything!
We love you Andong. Every time I watch your videos it’s like something I have to look forward to and it makes my day. You inspire me to come up with new recipes and see things with a wider scope. I hope you become successful in your RUclips career and I just want you to know that we all stand behind you.
Thank you for teaching all of us how to to cook and inspiring us to try new dishes. I am from USA and grateful you are providing instructions in English even though you speak german, russian and chinese. Your videos are fun to watch and please keep up the good work.
I'm amazed that you've never worked in a kitchen before. Your ability to learn new skills seems to be much higher than average if you can simply practice recipes at home for awhile and end up with excellent knife skills and a mastery of some fairly advanced cooking techniques. Just as an example to compare, I also watch Binging with Babish, and his lack of formal training peaks through from time to time in some of the ways he does things that a professional cook would never do. Whereas with your cooking videos, I've never once seen a moment that instantly gives away your "home cook" status. Impostor syndrome or not, I think you would fit in quite well alongside many professional level chefs. You definitely fooled this former cook. I'm so glad I just happened to comment on one of Alex French Guy Cooking's videos while you were in the early stages of building your channel. If you hadn't responded and I hadn't checked out your channel on a whim, I would have missed out on one of the best new content creators to hit the youtube platform in ages. Your gold play button is right around the corner!
Honestly, as a chef. I can def tell he's never worked in a kitchen or had formal training. That by no means is a bad thing. In fact, that a HUGE bonus. When you work in restaurants you end up with blinders when it comes to how food "should be" made. Even in Michelin starred restaurants it's like that. There's no creative freedom in the industry until you become an exec, by that point you've had blinders on for so long you're generally stuck in a box. Granted, I know there are some exceptions to the rule, but they're very few. I wish I could count myself among them. Unfortunately, despite my own creativity, I too find myself to have a one track mind sometimes. Which is why I love this channel. It helps me tap into my own ingenuity and keep evolving as a chef.
I work at a Chinese/Vietnamese restaurant as a front staff and sometimes admin while also learning to be a home cook. Commercial cooking and home cooking are two completely different worlds with the food realm. Both have their own skills that the other one doesn't have.
Wow!
