I now realize that I miscalculated Pearl's age, and every time they refer to her they say that she's 6 when she's 8. Sorry about that, lol

True, but then again let's not forget 3 major points
1) Godot is "barely alive"
2) Dahlia still managed to wound him badly even when he stabbed her in the back
3) At this point he doesn't care about his own well being

Godot: Misty entrusted me to kill her if Dahlia would use her to kill Maya with that sword.
Despite my flaws, i’m a man of words.
So i killed her with her own weapon...even if it was for my selfish motive of revenge and not directly for her daughter’s wellbeing.

Like he said after his guilt was revealed, saving Maya wasn’t his main priority.
He wanted to get revenge on her for what she did and "murdering" him.
So for him, not killing her wasn’t an option: she did too much harm and at that time, she wasn’t Misty...she was Dahlia Hawthorne for Godot.
Even if i don’t support murder irl (i mean, i don’t really care in fiction if there’s reason, it’s not like fictional characters dies the same), i understand why he did it and would have probably done the same if i had nothing to lose like Godot. For him, he was already dead, this murder was just a mean for him to end his life with having his promise filled like Mia said to Phœnix.
Love these characters just going scorched earth with one acidic insult after the next.

Like, will the kid have godot or mia's mannerisms and animations (sometimes, characters in AA get animations similar to people theyre related to, like how pearls and iris have a similar looking down animation or how franziska imitates most of her father's animations in court and how Edgeworth has similar animations to his father), hair colour, would the kid's personality reflect mia or godot's personality more than the other?, etc.
This is an encounter I have been wanting to see. Two characters who bare so much hatred for a person who is already deceased and who can’t exact conventional vengeance on the person they hate. Interesting that Godot realized how they aren’t that much different. I usually roll my eyes at this trope since it’s been overused, but I think it was utilized well here. Great video as always.

You devious, magnificent bastard....Way to leave this on a freaking cliff hanger. And the beauty of this is, that this is based of the ORIGINAL version where it was said that Diego was to kill Pearl who was channeling Dahlia. Beautiful work! It really shows how Godot and Dahlia truly are one of the same, as both of them were obsess over Mia. She was their drug, and in a lot of ways she was the end of the both of them. Talk about irony.

Only thing I'll fix is that it's still Misty Fey channeling Dahlia. The only reason they refer to Pearl being the channeler is because neither Dahlia nor Godot knew that the one who channeled Dahlia first was Misty

@@debastiansebeste If that is the case then, this is an interesting what if scenario. I say what if, because if this were indeed canon, then Dahlia would've recognized Godot in court, and likely would've told everyone about their little scuffle. Now you have me curious about if Mia was present (through Pearl) and the three of them, Phoenix, Mia, and Godot, basically finished Dahlia together, and then Mia would appear at the conclusion of the trial when Godot confesses to his part in everything.
@@debastiansebesteTechnically, in this murder plot, Misty and Iris were Godot’s accomplices.
They were in contact since a long time before the murder and Godot was then supposed to know if Misty was indeed able to channel Dahlia instead of Pearl. So yeah, he probably didn’t knew with 100% certainty but i guess he trusted her enough to be the one he had to murder and not Pearl.

Ironically enough. This feels like a great prequel to that early video you made where Godot got to talk to the spirit of Mia
Only problem I'm having is that Pearl was unable to channel her at all. She was first channeled by Misty Fey to prevent Pearl from doing it, then when she died, she was later channeled by Maya.
@@carebear91 she's not channeled by Pearl in this video either. Misty Fey is channeling her. But neither Godot not Dahlia know that, so of course they'll say that the channeler is Pearl.
(Surprisingly this is the second time someone misunderstands and thinks I made a mistake by having Godot and Dahlia name Pearl as the channeler :p)

I do like this format of videos that add little interactions that make certain moments more meaningful! I wish you animated the Dahlia and Godot fight though, 0/10. worst video ever because of that.

Trials & Tribulations if Godot used his brain instead of emotions, I like that. now the question is, does a "barely alive" Godot have what it takes to disarm her without killing her? even though he is sick, the man is built like a bear while Dahlia is very petite.
I need a part 2 of the follow up of this situation man. I know we all know would probably happen but I want it right there instead of my ahh imagination.

Diego dying to save Maya would be poetic, but it would mean that Pearls technically killed someone.
Actually it's Misty Fey channeling Dahlia, Godot and Dahlia are just unaware and think it's Pearl doing the channeling.
Honestly, there's absolutely no way the spirit medium should be considered responsible for the actions of the spirit they channel since they have no control or consciousness during the channeling. So even if Dahlia killed Godot, I don't think it should be considered a murder committed by Misty Fey
@@debastiansebeste Objection! In the final case of the third game, Godot clearly explains to Misty that she needed to die in order to save Maya and be-rid the world of Dahlia from Morgan’s grasp. Misty understood and agreed to it, so unless Godot talked to Misty and she didn’t give a clear answer in this video, the body of the medium is in fact that of 9 year old Pearl Fey.
@@milo_south3670 the thing is, Godot legit said in the game that at the time he was still not sure who the channeler was, and since Dahlia had been channeled he couldn't know whether Pearl had gone on with the plan or Misty did it herself first. When he killed Dahlia, he didn't do it for some plan, but as he said himself, because when he saw Dahlia his thoughts went blank and he just attacked mindlessly to have his revenge against her. Not because of any plan

We don't. If she knew she was channeled by Mia's mother instead of her sister Pearl, she'd easily stab herself just to kill Misty and that would be even worse xD

At that moment, she was asked to testify as Iris, the accomplice behind Maya’s crime.
She tought Maya stabbed "her" at that moment and probably committed suicide so for her, when she arrived on the courtroom, her revenge was already accomplished by "forcing Maya to kill her own mother and then committing suicide due to guilty consciousness". So when the truth was finally revealed, it was already too late to stab herself.

So between Dahlia/Elise attacking Maya, Godot stabbing Dahlia, Dahlia stabbing Godot (which you would think she would remember doing, not to mention recognising Godot by the goggles she stabbed him through), her consciousness fading away temporarily, then being summoned by Maya herself.....when exactly was Dahlia able to write Maya's name in blood on the stone lantern upside down?
I've been thinking about that one, and it's just one of the several plot issues with Bridge to the Turnabout, don't think about it too much xD

@@debastiansebeste Dahlia slashed Godot’s mask just before falling against the lantern and writing the message with Misty’s blood. It was never specified the death was instantaneous but due to blood loss. She didn’t needed much time to write the message.
After all, Godot needed to take care of Maya in the inner temple at that moment.

I know it’s cruel what i will say but...i prefer Misty as the victim than Pearl.
It would have been too cruel if Pearl was the one who got killed instead of the woman who willingly wanted to sacrifice herself to protect both her daughter and Pearl.

@@debastiansebeste Yeah, none of them deserved it but...at the very least, Misty was finally able to save her daughter after being separated all those years. That’s probably why she requested Godot to murder her in case it happened. Because in fine, both of them are really similar: both of them failed to protect their loved ones and had their families ruined because of that.
In the end, this murder case was just two broken sould trying to repair their past mistakes: a murdered mother who willingly wanted to lose her own life to protect her daughter and a "murdered" husband who became a killer to avenge his deceased girlfriend.
This doesn’t seem like it has anything to do with the Nintendo Direct announcements, on the contrary…this epic fight is clearly Sebeste petitioning to get Godot and Dahlia in the next Marvel vs Capcom game.

Pearl isn't there at all. Just like in the game, both Dahlia and Godot are mistaken and think it's Pearl who did the channeling but it's actually Misty who's channeling Dahlia

@@itamarbar9580 I'm afraid you have confused the timeline of the game and of this video :p This video takes place during the off-screen scene when Dahlia - channeled by Misty - attacked Maya, and Godot saved her by stabbing Dahlia (and killing Misty). But in this video things played out different.
