People forget his attitude is mostly a front. He genuinely does care and has a softer side but doesnt like to show it. In the anime he is being cutesy with koramaru and when Aigis catches him he freaks out trying to cover it up

Shinjiro has at least 2 Gatekeeper events. One with Mitsuru and Akihiko, and another with Yukari and Junpei.

There also another I got with shinji having an gatekeeper dialogue part with aigis and koromaru being in the group

Glad they actually give you incentive to put Shinji in the party this month. Not only are the interactions good but he is a legitimately insanely strong party member that would easily replace Aigis and Junpei as the physical attacker.
There was always incentive to use him because his raw strength is just fucking ludicrous at this point in the game, especially when sided with his skills being heavy damage right off the get-go
As someone who never got far enough in FES was shinji not as OP in the original?

I regret power leveling to 99 by doing Peaceful Reaper farming because it made fights way too easy and took the fun out of Tartarus. Never ran him in my party because I knew what would happen later on
Yea thats true. Peaceful farming is nice if you want to hurry up and get to NG+ but it does take the fun out of it
i did it when finishing the judgement, i dont regret it

I have a save file before october 3 where I can use Shinji to do exactly this.
Even moreso with his old VA though tbh, he just doesn't give off the "gangster" vibe with the new one imo.
I def prefer his new one. Grant wasn’t bad, but he really does sound more like a kid. Especially during the security tapes
