  • 🏍 The CX500 cafe racer build, The time has come to cut the frame, a big step where there's no going back to the original from this moment. I show where I've cut the tabs and at which point the rear section has been cut to facilitate the rear hoop. ▶️

Hi Ian; it took me about couple of hours to think what to say without hurt your feelings, that said here we go: as I can see you are doing exactly as many CX "builders" do, letting the original frame as it is, cutting out only the rear tips to weld a pipe loop and probably install a led strip as running-brake-signals light, which lead to have a flat long seat (like brat) without rear hump and taking away the cafe racer look, after all this time following your incredible build this is the first time that I feel a bit disappointed 😔, I know, your bike, your build, your test and as long as you like it that's only matter

Hi Carlos, Don't worry I don't get offended easily. I see your point and everyone is entitled to an opinion and welcome yours. I am going down the cafe racer cowl style (I think) although it would be nice to be able to carry a passenger from time to time. As a saying I heard once, what's the point of having a bike if you cant throw a girl on the back. Which has some merit. But the main reason for keeping the original rear shock setup is the legal requirement in my country (Denmark) I have to follow the strict guidelines to have it approved legally. The single-shock way is not allowed. My problem is to try and make it look unique by using the factory setup which is troubling me.

    Hi,
Would you like to make some more A306 videos?
    Here are some ideas:
    REACTIVE WINDSHEAR ground test
    OVERSPEED warning ground test
    STALL warning ground test
FMS presentation of all pages and functions.
    TCAS ground test
    EGPWS ground test.
All these topics dont exist as videos for A306. So it would be a nice opportunity to create more content for your youtube channel.
    Thank you very much.
