This is actually really interesting because I love the idea of exams but the availability for official ABRSM exams in my country is so scarce that I‘d have to drive 600km
This is a great option for adults who still want to learn piano the traditional method and techniques but will never have a goal to play at Carnegie Hall! This method definitely will not train you for performance level playing but that isn’t everyone’s goal either. It’s also great for those that can’t afford a teacher and want to learn on their own through other methods yet still want to get certified. Thanks so much for making this video and letting us know!
This is really cool. I've been self learning for a while and never seriously considered doing grades because I don't want my hobby to completely take over my life as I get close to the exam date - this way if I get stressed/don't think I'm ready it's no big deal. Definitely going to look into this & hope to give it a go soon. Thanks!
