Hello, Fred! " Johnny " Williams is still connected to his roots, in the spirit of the latest musical spectacles in cinema, remembering the good old Argentine tango ( in varied arrangements __ " Jalousie / The Green _ Eyed Monster " ), already anticipating something about the musicals of the 70s and above all, his own style of orchestration for strings and brass which would accompany him throughout the three decades following. Excellent record of a promising beginning! Thanks and bye!!

One of my favorite Johnny Williams scores, full of wonderful melodies and a couple of great songs, not to mention the top-notch jazz arrangements that were released on a separate re-recorded soundtrack album release. It's one big beautiful ball alright!

“Not With My Wife, You Don’t!” (1966) is a delicate 60s comedy where Virna Lisa falls in love with two pilots (Tony Curtis and George C. Scott), of which she marries Curtis' character which absolutely doesn’t mean the rivalry between the two guys ends there…
We get rather big musical accompaniment by an aspiring composer named John(ny) Williams, who provided a delicate score with funny and serious elements, greatly orchestrated and available in fine stereo. It is the first time the young composer teamed up with the legendary Johnny Mercer, who provided the lyrics to Williams’ songs. Enjoy!

    Thanks Fred❤👍🏻
    Great John Williams❤👏🏻
Unforgettable, extraordinary and seductive Virna Lisi💖😍
Research: Good actors left, unfortunately, to their own devices in a film of disarming banality. From a story by Melvin Frank.
As already happened in Virna Lisi's first American film “How To Murder Your Wife” (1965) by Richard Quine, for practical dubbing needs Tom Ferris' future wife, who in the original is the Italian nurse Julietta Perodi, in the version Italian becomes the Spanish Giulia Parilla. During the film there also appears a sequence shot in a Roman cinema, where a long scene of the elusive Italian film being shown ("Arrivederci Mondo" by Antonio Merletta) is entirely dubbed into Spanish. For the same reason, the character of the waitress played by Karla Most also becomes Spanish from Italian.
In Italy, the film is called "Due assi nella manica".
PS: April 3, in the evening, I was on duty at the Auditorium.
With my team and other volunteer colleagues, we attended the theater show "Driving Miss Daisy". Great guest protagonist is the Italian actress Milena Vukotic.
