A new clip of this robust and well proven to be effective and good, Norwegian Jotul 602 Classic. Came on marked in mid 1930 and is the most sold and copied box stove in the world. Not difficult to restore. Check carefully for cracks before starting the work. A 50 year old stove or older or newer, can have cracks in the plates and the weak part is most commonly the back plate. Inner fire plates or protection plates...can have cracks...and that does not matter...as long as they are straight and bits not fallen apart from them.
