- Tom Tom rebuilds a CNC Plasma cutter and gives his daughter a pony. This machine was damaged during his move to Utah but is now better than ever! Also a big thanks to @MattsOffRoadRecovery
I think I’m gonna need some stuff cut out on that table.
I'm drawing up a part for you right now!
@@tomtomsshop What software are you using ?
I use AutoCAD, SheetCAM, and Mach3
@@tomtomsshop I'm a SolidWorks former user and now a happy Onshape user, I tried once AutoCad and I wanted to kill myself after 5 minutes! lol
Imagine if you had that for the birdhouse . . . .
Tom Tom dude you need to put out more of your own content. I’ve been watching Matt from the beginning, and In my opinion, you’ve been the greatest addition to his channel.
I agree, Tom's a great asset and my favorite addition to Matt's team, if I'm ever learning from a video it's something Tom's working on! hope to see more Tom Tom content
Logged on to make that specific comment but couldn't have said it better
TomTom, I'm diggin the content you're putting out
I also agree! Your an asset anywhere tom!
Absolutely agree - Matt’s channel was greatly improved with Tom coming on full time.
Easily the best. The show is nothing without him
Tom, I would say you made the plasma table 11% taller, and 11% more mobile.
😂😂😂😂
Did the brakes end up 11% better ?
Agreed 11%
LOLOL
Good stuff Tom! I'd love to have a table like yours.
Hi Tom. I first remember seeing you on Matt's channel when you went with the group to rescue Ed's golden nugget. He brought you along to be the cook and you were happy to do anything that needed done. Then later you are working for him and you are the main spoke on the MORR wheel. Your personality and your extensive knowledge makes you a very interesting person. You are a problem solver and put thought into everything you do. I love it that you have your own channel. I'm sure the recovery job takes lots and lots of your time, but you still find some time for your own channel. Thank you for all you do for the MORR team. You are appreciated by all of us.
Don't forget, Matt brought Tom down so he & Lizzy could make the trailer for Ed's rokon, & Tom helped make the frame for the wrecker.
A very precise birdhouse would be fitting!
That would be a fitting project.
😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@tomtomsshop Make one! Make it with Tom's precise touch. That'll auction well!
that is a true friend, wearing Matt's T-shirt while on your channel. selfless nice human being!
He's trying to communicate what he's concerned about. Tom Tom belongs to MORR and this flex is likely to involve negotiations of compensations.
@@xiapong6277 how on God’s green earth would you have any idea regarding any single piece of speculation you just stated.
@@xprettylightsx3781 Real life business experience and knowing a few MORR insiders is the start of it.
Excellent video! Looking forward to more!
Thanks!
You're a talented fabricator and a good man, Tom Tom. Keep it going!
He is also a Nuclear Scientist
@@swapnilmankame Isn't it strange how some people very talented, finally settle on something simpler for a vocation? Its not that their talent is going to waste, its just going in a different direction.
Weld a stand to the CNC machine. That will keep the PC and CNC brain together with the machine.
It combines what you like and what you need.
Snowball Engineering is using a laptop instead of a desktop computer. Maybe that would work better for mobility.
@frank-t6857 facts! Considering he is using a Windows 7 pc, he prolly does not want to "upgrade."
@@Jdmorris143 I saw it has Windows 7
The last decent Windows.
Love your personality Tom. You're a natural in front of the camera. Obviously very intelligent as well. Love to watch you build.
Yay, Tom-Tom and Mrs Tom-Tom! Best wishes from the UK
You asked for suggestions. Build a case to mount all the electronics for for the plasma table. Put it on rollers and make it detachable from the bed frame, but secured with latches. Include filters to aid in keeping the metal dust and mist at bay.
Second feature for the case; articulating arm to for the monitors, keyboard and pendant control.
"I build a CNC cutting machine". "just a regular Windows computer I build". FFS Tom, that's why you are an inspiration. Such a talented guy.
C'mon Tom, there's supposed to be a computer guy, a metal guy, a mechanic, and so on. One man isn't supposed to be able to do _everything._ You're making some of us look bad. 😅
Totally agreed now I know why Matt hired him there the perfect duo
Good your back! The best crew member of Matt’s. Great video. Good luck
What you need to cut next are: custom badges for DigDug
Neat! Looking forward to seeing make masterpieces with it!
Lol. Love the end clip with Matt. Cool machine. I'm sure all guys will be using it.
make a sign "TOM TOM'S SHOP" big enough to mount in the back of your shop. So when you are recording it shows up in the back and self-promotes yourself.
Can't say how pleased I am to have found the channel Tom. TY
ALWAYS appreciate seeing you in your "element" Big T
Tom you are the best. I've learned a lot from watching you.
Move content please
Definitely looking forward to more videos from you! How about a design and cutout of a Tom Tom logo for the shop and your own brand!
Just by pure reputation, Tom could open up his own fab shop and he'll be booked months in advance!
Keep it up!!
I'll do my best!
nice to seee another video drop from Tom Tom, always well explained content, thanks for sharing Tom Tom
This is awesome! More CNC!
Congratulations Tom Tom! Its about time to upload more of your videos.
Beautiful wife helping out
Hi Tom you are back I am sosososo very happy you are back can you do more new show for all of us please thank you sosososo much we will be waiting for you ok and please be careful out there ok I will always praying 🙏 for 🙏 you so you will be safe ok you have a wonderful day and have a good night and day ok love Lorilee xoxoxoxox
Can’t wait to see what fun you get up to in the new shop!
Too many holes to drill to mount the wheels??? You need Miss Sally's twin in your shop.
That would be nice.
@@tomtomsshop Or you need the plasma table working, to make parts for the plasma table.
I think we all weld on casters, now and then.
I think your channel has great potential. Judging by what we see on Matt’s channel, you have a deep commitment to doing things properly, and the contrast between your method and the “shade tree” shenanigans will be interesting to see.
Great video Tom. You should cut out the parts to put your computer under the table and a spot to view your monitor and access your keyboard. I saw your wife filming in Dig Doug on Matt's video today at Wayne's World. Hope to see a video of you and your wife enjoying your time there.
YES Tom-Tom its good to see you in a new video. Best regards from Southeast Asia
Way to go Tom. I know how good it feels to get an old machine working again. I just rebuilt an old Delta wood lathe. Very satisfying?
Keep the great videos coming!
My 2-cents on what to cut on your plazma table is a sign for your wall with the name of your RUclips channel, and make it big enough so it can be seen in the background in your videos! Congrats on your new venture, Tom!
Dam I didn’t know you had your own channel ! I love watching MORR videos and you’re in it. Subscribed !!
So cool! As a fellow engineer, DIYer, and working in manufacturing, this makes me very happy!
Amazing that you built your own CNC...even assembling one from a kit is quite a job.
This is awesome. I run an X-carve at home for wood. The best "upgrade" I ever did was install a mini PC permanently next to the CNC to avoid the extra step of hauling a laptop into the shop and risking busting that.
Tom, the man of many talents!
Good to see new content on your channel Tom. I'm excited for you.
Tom, this video shows a little bit about how intelligent you are! I hope that with your connections with the off-road community you will get plenty of jobs cutting out the pieces they need. God bless you and your family.
Father God, I pray for Tom’s new channel, I ask that it will be a huge success, please bless him and his family. I ask this in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Amen
This was educational, plus it's terrific to watch maintenance videos.
Gotta love ALL these AMAZING UTAH Fabricators! Each one has his own set of talents! Love all their channels.
Tom, from what little info you've given us; your resume must be absolutely fascinating from being a nuclear engineer to being ADHD Matt's right hand man. I always appreciate your positive attitude.
Fantastic Tom Tom that was brilliant 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟👌
Yes Tom! You are my favourite channel to watch here on RUclips! with matt a close second ha.
After a career working on motor vehicles I helped a friend in his business building CNC machines for building electronic prototype circuit boards. They operated in mils. I enjoyed that change . We were developing CNC machines to cut body armor and labor cutting. He moved out there and wants me to visit, He just wants to put me back to work as I do perfect work. 😂. ( I retired...sorta)
Enjoy your table! Limited by your imagination!
You are the best Tom Tom and you make everything look professional on Matt’ Off Road Recovery .. 😂 We need more of your Vlogs on the same day Matt uploads
Tom Tom, i think you need to replace the plasma cutting torch with a laser cutting head. Ive been getting stainless steel cut with them, and the cuts are within, .3 to .5 of a mm at 25mm thick steel. The cuts are so smooth it saves a lot of grinding. Also it cuts a lot of other materials, plastics, wood ect.
Tom Tom is Alive!!!! Good luck in your setting up. Looks like you need time and cash, hope it comes. Please paint the truck.
Brings back good memories of me watching and learning from a very talented NASA tech I worked along side of a few years ago. Huge respect to you folks who can get it done both mechanically and electrically.
Tom “the brains” Tom all the best videos have you in them my friend. Keep on building your own thing and then I’ll have two places to enjoy your content.
I put my backyard 7' x 7' shed on caster wheels to move it around when needed. Glad I did.
Didn't know about this, now I do. Another channel to watch, thanks Tom. Your wife is pretty, no need to be shy. :)
First time I've seen your wife, Tom. You married up -- good job.
I agree more shows ! You are very talented and are a great addition too Matt's show you made his show 11% better lol
More on DIG DOUG ! I LOVE that truck, you are doing a great build on that truck and I love that game lol
Well done Tom. You can do some part for matt's project's and charge him. I am sure they don't mind helping you. You scratch my back I scratch your back kind of deal. Robbie and the rest of the group always need some part made so there is a little side business if you ever get any "Free Time" from rescuing stranded people.
Life and time saver once fully set-up and dialed in.
Let's face it, Tom. The reason you welded those casters on instead of bolting them is because you don't have Sally there at your own shop! (Although I did see a drill press in the background). Love that plasma table!
Hey Tom Tom can’t wait to see your project’s ☮️❤️👍✌️💪🏻
You need ventilation Tom
Woo hoo! That awesome that you got the table up ( on wheels) and running ( cutting metal). I know you're happy. Your wife's bracelet is cool too.
More content!!
I’ve never thought of using PBB for cleaning or lubricating. It’s my go to for stuck bolts, nuts, etc. Great to see Angela on your video.
Tom Tom your back. Glad to see you in your shop. You should cut out a name plate for Dig Dug.
Tom nice job getting it up and running, looking forword to see what you have coming up! what about a thin peice of stainless cut out Tom Toms shop to put up on the wall, there looking pretty bare!
This was an enjoyable video. Thanks Tom
I've watched Matt for a few years. How often do you say (or want to say) "I told you so"? You bring a huge measure of missing common sense and patience to Matt's operation. Your plasma table is just plain cool.
Thanks for your reviews Tom Tom. It's like therapy for me to look at your projects and when you and your old friend Matt are working together. Before I was completely disabled and bedridden 95 % of the days from a too high immune response after the corona vaccine which attacked my nervous system about 2 1/2 years ago, I was very active both in sports, hiking and had different projects there I loved the development. I wish you luck. With best regards from Arne in Norway.
Awesome project building your own table.. you are a very talented man.
Great addition to Matt’s team. Good Luck with your channel. Matt’s reaction
to your metal snag was classic. Keep your Videos coming!
MWP Cosby Tn.
Can't wait to see dig dug fully built out and give the yellow fleet a proper run for there money, might have to get Rory to give a few pointers as to what works on the old leaf machines
Matt and Tom-Tom for President 2024. Now THERE is a party I can support.
Impressive demonstration of skills Tom! I like watching you here and at MORR :)
Hang that piece of equipment from the ceiling and raise and lower it with a garage door opener using a cable to the four corners. That will give you all your floor space when not in use.
Huge fan of all your work Tom! Happy to see you adding more content, can’t wait for more!
Looking forward to seeing more from your channel Tom
Good to see you up and running
Cut Out Tom Tom Shop. You keep showing your talents, Yes i agree you are definitely an asset to Mats Off Road recovery, hope he appreciates you !!!
I'd love to work for you! Tomtom, your style is awesome! Safety can be observed, stuff still gets done and everyone can still have a good time!
Tom Tom, loved your video today. Please get a light that shines up on your face, instead of your hat shading your face from the overhead light. The shadow makes the picture dark. I am looking forward to more content from your channel. I love watching you and Matt build things. Your expertise and knowledge is a nice balance to Matt's "shoot from the hip" building style. What a nice compliment for two gearheads working together. Your design and precision in building items will be nice to watch.
Tom... So glad you are doing this channel!! I am looking forward to seeing your talents flourish and your skill set bloom!!
Way to go Tom looking forward to seeing some of your crazy builds like Matt has done
Matt @ the End Says it all, that is His “it's about Time you put This Channel together Tom Tom”, Face. I've seen it before 😂. Really think You are going STRAIGHT to the TOP good Sir, You are a True to the Term Gentlemen & a Scholar. I Hope to catch You on the next One, Keep it Safe Out There Sir
Great content Tom thanks! I look forward to more great videos from you!
I'm happy to see you post a video again. Keep up the great work!
I thought I was the only one with brains to still use Window 7! It is great at just working. Anything later just throws commercials at you!
Thanks for sharing!
I glad I found your channel. Tom Tom.
I’ll been watching Matt’s
Salutations ; JCC .
I ran 3 lasers for a knife company years ago. I was responsible for a maintenance program for my 3 lasers. I do understand your dilemma on maintenance. I did maintenance every 250 of run time. Each operating system was on the 250 hr schedule. Have you considered a pull out slug tray. This would keep your rails cleaner because the slug dust would have more distance away from the cutting head. I know a machine like this opens a new world to you. It is your Frankenstein so give it more life with a maintenance schedule. Good luck!
Том твой стол удивляет! Класс! Ты красава! Концовка видео вообще супер!)) Хотел бы трудиться в твоей мастерской!
Good to see another video Tom! Can't wait for more!
Thanks Tom, super informative and I am looking forward to what comes.
I love my C&C , it's a small 34" X 28" Langmuir & been cutting for 4 years.
Found Cool Tom Toms Channel ❤
All the best from England
This is cool! I had no idea you had a channel Tom Tom. I'm glad this video randomly popped up. I agree with what others said about you being a great addition to Matt's channel. I'll be looking forward to seeing more content from you!
Yayyy thank you Tom Tom
Chapeau, from the Normandy!
