- The "Green Comet" will be its closest to Earth on February 2. It is believed the comet has not been seen for 50,000 years. Local photographers captured out-of-this-world photos of the cosmic visitor.

I saw emerald green comet. It was so bright and beautiful.
Unfortunately I don't have a telescope so I can't see it because I can't see it with the naked eye

East coast UK - I was lucky with clouds around 11.30 last night and am pretty certain I managed to see it, but was up again at 3am and all clouds.
If it helps, and you haven't already, it may be an idea to get an app to show real time location of everything (I use stellarium), and I'd suggest you may need a scope or Binos - I used a 130mm scope with wide eyepiece and had to scan around a bit.
What with moon and town lights I'm not sure you'll see it unaided.

Is it just me or was this a strange experience watching female news reporters not wearing skin tight clothing or a top with a deep plunging neck line? This feels like i'm watching a news report from the 1950's? Female sexuality seems to be exploited in every sense in our time
What amazes me and I still don’t fully understand is ,,, you can see the Sun light reflecting off the nucleus of the comet which is about one mile in diameter from a distance of 30 million miles away ? That’s like trying to see a flashlight in Paris from New York .. 🤷♂️
Part of the reason that comets are so bright is that they possess a thin, icy atmosphere which also reflects a great deal of sunlight.
Except the sun is much larger compered to how far the comet is. Also the sun is a lot Brighter.

It's reflecting the the only light source in the solar system, if it were no lights period you probably could see a flashlight in Paris

Chill guys if you think you're unlucky and unable to view it, it's not visible to me either ,and i use decent enough camera gear for deepspace photography. This shit is too faint. If you have seen NEOWISE comet then you can ignore this comet , it's not even 1/100th of its magnificence

Near the Big Dipper and Little Dipper.
Look North for the brightest Star, Polaris, also called The North Star.

If it is really dark around you, such as not being in a City with City lights and traffic all around. Being in a rural setting, out in the country is better. It was said that a set of binoculars or a telescope may be needed to see it. Also, hopefully, no rain or clouds in the way.

Maybe I got that wrong, sorry. But, if you can see the Little and/or Big Dipper, the Comet will be travelling through this area. The best visibility will be the last hour or so before dawn.
The last 16 to 18 minutes before both sunset and sunrise is referenced as twilight for the evening, or the twinkling of an eye for both sunset and sunrise. Good luck!!
