Rare green comet not seen for 50,000 years, visible in our skies tonight

  • On February 1, a rare green comet discovered right here in San Diego will be in its brightest form as it nears earth.
    If you're in the city, you'll be able to see it using a telescope.
    But, if you head to our local mountains or desert areas, there’s a good chance you can view it with the naked eye.
    The green comet is unique because it’s shooting through our solar system for the first time in 50,000 years.

      She said you might, not you will and besides you practically have to be off the grid, nowhere near a city because the light pollution doesn't allow you to see as many stars or other celestial objects. If you want to see this, the best bet will be a telescope. I don't own a telescope so its a shame.

    • @G-B-F123
      @G-B-F123 Год назад +1

      Also, where you live might affect the view depending on what the weather is like. If its rainy or cloudy, that will most likely obstruct the view. Another thing is whether or not you are located in the northern hemisphere, as the little dippers are only visible from there

    • @HARDL3FT
      @HARDL3FT Год назад

      Not sure this is the Blue Kachina. Native accounts say it was brightest thing in the night sky and visible during the day. However, it could be so, just we're being told to look at it in an early stage of its appearance. Whereas, when it gets closer and more visible, we will be distracted from noticing it. My 2 cents.
