    Oh my goodness, I love that look on you! It's so flattering to your coloring! This is my favorite on you!
    I got Emily and I don't see the pink, either. It's truly neutral to me.
    I skipped the last release because I don't love cream shadows because they always crease. I bought several cream pots from Charlotte T and they always crease, as well as many of the cream shadow sticks from other brands such as Bobby Brown and Laura Mercier crease, too, no matter what, even with primer. They just don't work, even with primer, probably because my eyes water, too, as well as having oily lids. I also do not like the sticky feel of the cream shadow sticks. However, Emily doesn't crease and run when my menopausal eyes are watering and you can't feel it on! I'm going back for Bianca, at least.

    • @thelipstickgal

      Bianca is my most reached for shade. It's just stunning. I've had problems with other shadow sticks, and cream shadows in pots creasing on my lids. I don't have any of the Charlotte Tilbury right now, but my Tom Ford cream shadow doesn't last all day. I've had the same problem previously with a Charlotte Tilbury cream shadows. It could be that the eye serum I put down first makes them prone to creasing, but I've never had that problem with these ones from Lisa Eldridge.
      I mentioned in this video, but I've recently started wiping my lid with micellar water before putting anything down. It's the only way I get to Sydney Grace cream shadows not to crease on me. Anytime I reach for a cream shadow now, I make sure my lid is completely bare. The hard part is with oily eyelids there's no way to mitigate the oil midday. 🤷‍♀️
      I feel like this formula is a little bit drier than others on the market. It feels more of a whipped mousse texture as opposed to a cream. Maybe that's why it holds up better on your oily lids. I feel like the potted shadows, and the cream shadow sticks have more of an emollient base to them. That might aid in midday creasing.
      I hope you enjoy the shade emily, it's probably going to be the one I reach for the most. It's such a pretty one and done shade, and I love mixing it with Zora as liner. Thanks for making the time to watch today, and have a fabulous weekend.

      It's been awhile since I've had one of the Charlotte Tilbury cream shadows. They're a really nice formula, but would crease on me part way through the day. I really could only wear it if I was touching up my makeup to go out in the evening, or was only expecting to be in public for a short amount of time. It never wore all day on me.
      These wear really well. I really enjoy them. I'm not a cream eyeshadow aficionado, so there's a good chance it was user error. These are just so easy for me to put on, and I've never had a problem with them before.

    I’m so excited to watch and bask in not just you company but what is going to be the stunning beauty of these. I told another RUclipsr Sonia Butler, I love her and she loves LE too to find you!! You are both the sweetest and I adore you both. Honestly Rebecca I’ve been watching but so drained to leave comments. This move has not been an easy transition at all for me. The move really did a number on me physically and mentally. Also realized that my brothers basically are not going to lift a finger to help me, I’m truly on my own there, but I do have friends I can count on which is great. I’m starting grief counseling next week. One is a 12 week program called Griefshare and the other will be one on one counseling through hospice. September is going to my mental health month and focus. October will be financial planning with my brother’s person so I can determine what kind of job I need like full time or part time. But I’m going to get through this and I am definitely picking our 3 of these Lurex shades old and maybe a new. Get my shopping in before I meet with financial planner, lol!🤣

    Hi, I love to watch your video's, but when you make one about LisaEldridge than I am more excited 😊. I found you because of Lisa's lipsticks. I have Bianca and Liza from the first release. Now I have Emily and Maya. But I actually wanted Zora even more ( but when I placed my order it was already out of stock) ( it is currently back, but I don't know I will place a 2nd order) ( I am also mad at myself for not picking Anais over Emily because Emily is same color than a cream eyeshadow I already have ( RMS eyelights in color Stobe), I am an cream eyeshadow girl ( I have oily eyelids so I put always a primer on) My 2 favorite cream eyeshadows formulas are the armani eye tints and the by terry ombre blackstar eyeshadow sticks. ( I actually prefer those above the LE!)

    • @thelipstickgal
      @thelipstickgal  2 года назад

      When I first started using cream shadows, I started with the Charlotte Tilbury and the Tom Ford. They're okay, but don't last on my eyelids all day. I have a few cream shadow sticks, but I really prefer Lisa's formula. It has the shimmer particles that I like, with a beautiful multi-dimensionality. I definitely need to spend more time trying cream eyeshadow formulas.
      The last time I tried one from RMS Beauty was when they were in little glass pots. I haven't tried the new ones in the metallic tubes with the crank key yet. They look really pretty.
      Thank you so much for taking the time to watch today. Lisa Eldridge is one of my favorite luxury brands, and every time she releases new shades or new products, I am utterly delighted. I feel like the only product she makes that I'm not head over heels for is her lip gloss formula. The formula itself is nice, as are the colors, but the doe foot applicator is my least favorite shape out of all of the glosses I have. I always end up with gloss outside of my lip line when I use it. I picked up two shades when the formula initially launched, and I haven't picked up any more since. It's the one thing that she makes that I'm happy to have tried, but don't have a deep desire to repurchase.
      These cream eyeshadows are so fabulous. They make a polished eye look possible in under 2 minutes. I can blend a single Shadow on my lids in under a minute, add mascara and be out the door. I feel like the second launch has more everyday shades for my taste. I feel like I need to pick up Daphne, and Liza. I probably use Liza most as a liner, and I think the chartreuse green color in Daphne would be stunning. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch, and I hope you enjoy your new Liquid Lurex shadows.

    When they first launched I was completely uninterested, then in Jan of last year I tried the rare beauty liquid eyeshadow which I loved. This summer i ordered 2 from about face to try, (also matte) I’m usually not into shimmer so i am super selective w/ the ones i buy. On a whim i was ordering a new shade of her fdn and decided to add in Emily. Well lets just say i loved how easy it was and just ordered Zora & Anais. I much prefer the range of this 2nd launch

      I feel like the failures I've had with cream shadows in the past had made me gun shy. I wasn't that excited when Lisa launched these last fall either. I picked them up because everything she's launched has been a win with me.
      You're right, I'm much prefer the shades she came out with during this launch as compared to the first. I might pick up the shade Liza just for liner. Liza is the charcoal gray shade. I've really been enjoying using Zora for liner, and I thought how nice it would be to have a darker shade as well. I'm quite partial to sparkle, but I like it to look elegant and age-appropriate. I feel like Lisa hits the nail on the head when it comes to elegant and age appropriate.

      @@thelipstickgal yes agree. Especially creams in pots, usually unless it’s a stick i steer clear lol. Oh the grey would be great as a liner. I saw her video after i ordered Emily and saw the swatches and decided to try Zora because it didn’t look too dark straight out the gate. Tbh i even liked it better than the VB pots because there was little to no fallout and no mess ha. The only thing that concerns me is the shelf life but it’s true I’ve loved everything i tried from her. The only thing i haven’t tried is the liquid blush because i wear a matte base. Her hl magically works over a set base if you let it dry down a bit first before applying.

      @@anneviscardi I know she's been having problems with the packaging for her liquid blushes. They're supposed to debut in 2023 in new packaging. I have three shades, but the squeeze tubes they came in have all failed. They're currently living in little glass pots. For a cream formula, they're not too emollient.
      I haven't tried any of the Victoria Beckham eye shimmers. I'm not sure exactly what they're called, but they do look beautiful. I was really impressed that Lisa's formula doesn't have any fallout. I have to make sure I finish patting it in before it's completely dry, but if I do, I don't have any rogue sparkle. I've tried a Charlotte Tilbury and a Tom Ford cream shadow. They both end up creasing on me. I find some of the stick formulas are nice, but I really want a little bit more shimmer that I've been able to get in some of the caviar sticks from Laura Mercier. These liquid lurex really fit the bill.
      I'm absolutely addicted to Lisa's elevated glow. I have three shades, and I'm about to run out of Crystal nebula. It's a shade I would instantly repurchase when I'm out. I haven't tried it over a set face yet, but now I really am curious to try it. Thanks for the tip.

      Oh and yea with sticks mine are all matte, i find shimmer ones don’t have the same magic as something in a pot. But then the pot ones are usually too emollient. I didn’t even think about rogue sparkle when i applied, i used so little tap tap with my finger and was good to go it was so quick i was shocked. The vb are lid lusters, i had to think for a sec ha they’re essentially a creamier pressed shadow. I love honey and i also have chiffon. I been curious about the Victoria Beckham lidlusters, but if you say they're a little bit more emollient, maybe they're not for me. I can't abide any fallout. It's one of the things that ruins a look for me. Some people don't mind it, but it's one of my biggest makeup pet peeves.

    These are so pretty! But as much as I love LE, I don’t need the liquid shadows as long as Sydney Grace exists :P I already have SG cream shadows in the same shades I like best from LE, and they can’t be beat!

    • @thelipstickgal
      @thelipstickgal  2 года назад

      I have both the SG and the LE and I feel like they're very different formulas. The SG is very smooth and metallic, while the LE has more individual sparkle and dimensions. I think the LE shades are a bit more nuanced due to how the base shade can be sheered out, and the inclusion of multi colored pearls in each shade.
      I love the SG cream shadows, but they're very different products. I find they take more finesse and time to blend. I also struggle adding on another layer without disturbing the initial one. Maybe it's user error. 🤷‍♀️ I don't use cream shadows enough to have a good system for applying them. These LE ones are the easiest for me to use, and are what I reach for most. I love having a doe foot application too. It makes us so much easier to apply.
      Maybe I prefer these because I've never struggled to get these to work for me. It was perfection from the first time I reached for Bianca. I struggled with the SG shadows for months before I figured them out. I still occasionally worry that I'll have creasing when I wear them. 🥺
