I was taught that split washers were to be placed between a data dead flat washer and the head of the bolt. I wonder if you might execute a test with that assembly. I see a lock of videos hating on split washers that don’t take into account different assembly methods.
the graph basically says "these lock washers will be fine for most low vibration uses" then if a higher vibration level is present, you would likely want to use a thread sealer like lock tight. perhaps other lock washers are more effective as well.
It's like there's some movement to get rid of these...some president of an envirogroup that got their finger pinched in one. Or maybe it's an industry looking to make money by switching with their products?
All I got from this video is, "you're doomed, and your bolts will never stay tight."
XD
So what bolts nd washers they use to put together the machine??
This is NUTS....
The video shows force vs cycles. The abscissa is labeled Hz for hertz which is cycles per second.

Lock tight or jb weld on thread or a fat spot weld will keep it from losing
Wonderful, can you post test of other bolts/washers?

Simples copias de nord-lock.
Never had a problem with lock washers. I have had many problems without using them. How about real life tests instead of these idiotic jiggle ones?
Please elaborate otherwise we're just going to assume that you sell lock washers for a source of income
@@BGraves do you want to buy some? I'll give you a good deal.
