The World of Nintendo Bowser of course scales great with both Its own Mario & SH figuarts Mario. however, I feel like the S.H figuarts Bowser scales better with the 2.5 inch Jakks Mario figures.
I'll be honest, I got the WoN Bowser at initial release, and I think it was more worth it. The Figuarts I'd almost always choose, but I think the WoN has the size which Bowser needs, and I like the elbow articulation. The holes on the hands are annoying, and the paint is hit or miss, but as something I display and not play with, I think the WoN works fine. However, I guess in the after market, it depends on what you find cheaper.
World of Nintendo Bowser was released for around 15 dollars in the US actually. I wouldn't want to pay 50-60 bux for a small bowser that doesn't even have good arm articulation... And the size....oh the size... I can't even take that small Bowser seriously. The only thing the figuarts Bowser has going for it is the paint job and the head articulation. Nobody evens needs the foot/ankle movement, it is about useless as the tail movement on the WON Bowser. The fireball can be replicated easily so that is why it isn't an advantage for Figuarts Bowser. I don't think I'll be replacing my WON bowser anytime soon unfortunately. I really hope if Figuarts makes a Donkey Kong that he at least is taller than the freakin Mario OF THE SAME LINE... I can't even fathom how Figuarts Bowser has such a large price. Its the size of Mario of the same line yet has less articulation and costs 3x the price. Not to mention it doesn't even come with stage diorama parts like the others did. Maybe if the price drops to a reasonable 20-30 bux I'll buy it if I have extra money. Maybe.
S.H Figuarts should've priced him for 25 $ Or 30 $. I don't feel like 50 to 60 is worth such a small not so great articulated but amazingly painted bowser figure.
I paid $15 for the WoN Bowser. It was the best out of the 4 they had there paint wise sadly but thats what you get for the price i guess. The Figuarts loos good has a lot of really nice sculpting but its so blah. None of that nice detail pops at all. It really needs a wash and a bit of a paint job to help bring everything out ab it more.
@@tomurashigaraklilbeanboi - If they ever make a Wario figure, his legs will probably be made the same way as Bowser's, where his knees won't be articulated, but you'll still be able to pose him since he's always got his knees bent anyway.
I don't have the normal old bowser from world of nitnendo but. I do have the new version of bowser with a bob-omb and a mario!. It's called: Bowser's Lava Battle Set. Also from world of nintendo!
personally i think people expect too much from SHF ever since they merge the D-Arts and SHF. anime characters that doesn't have normal proportions can't be looked at the same as one that does from SHF. stocky characters from Mario and Pokemon just simply won't have the same articulation as characters from DBZ, Kamen Rider, Marvel, etc.
I guess Bowser could get a better articulation than this, not comparing with another characters, and also they went low in accesories, I was hoping to get at least closed fists.
+FrankW1029 well if the cost goes up because of the articulation, it would be unfair, this figure with the articulation it has right now, is not worth 50 dlls.
Jose Luis Cortez Marquez i commented on anthonycustoms' review regarding the price. Bandai pricing is predominantly based on how much material it is used as well how big each individual parts are; the bigger each individual part is, the higher the cost. The reason is that once parts get bigger, molds need to get bigger = more cost, to produce the same quantities of parts using more material also = more cost, consumers may "think" that higher price needs to come with more articulation, but sometimes its just not the case.
I like the SHF Bowser but...he is too small and too pricey, maybe I will stick with the WoN...if..I can find one... btw, did you check out those MegaHouse Pókken figures? that Lucario and Mewtwo looks great, maybe they are better than the SHF/D-Arts one
you're welcome ^o^ the only thing that kills the Lucario figure is the abdomen joint, it's too visible 1.bp.blogspot.com/-P6sLrHoxkCA/V0lc8o8mJMI/AAAAAAAAHhc/yskjbW7IJFAzebw6NaWoMxjd0nF152cUgCLcB/s1600/megahouselucario.png but it comes with more accessories than the SH figuarts one mangafigures.files.wordpress.com/2016/05/pokken-tournament-lucario-variable-action-heroes-megahouse.jpeg?w=468&h=351
idk, I don't have the shf lucario :( but for me the megahouse one looks awesome, but yeah, that mewtwo looks great, let's see if they launch more pokken characters (at least, a better pikachu :/ )
Man, I'm really torn here. The figuarts bowser is better in every way save the elbow articulation. But he just looks small with Mario. I'm sure that is the scale he should be with mario, but whenever I play a Mario game, I feel like Bowser is bigger in comparison.
No, you're not wrong. Maybe if you were comparing the old games, but Bowser is much larger in Mario 64, Mario Sunshine, and Mario Galaxy. Those are the ones I usually compare these too, and I feel the WoN Bowser best represents the size.
Um, not to be mean but the reason of why the Bowser figuarts are that size is to be at the right size compared to the Mario figuarts and other characters of the same line. Plus it has fire balls and hands and an extra mouth. It's cool, maybe a bit pricey but hey, it is japanese. Japan do quality stuff in my opinion.
I understand why they have to make it that size, otherwise they have to charge more and it's not going to be profitable on their end. But for us figure collectors and gamers.... we just want a bigger bowser.
no way! but i agree on you figuart bowser is *disappointment* when comes to sh figuart standard. BUT it is way better than WoN. I would understand if you can't afford figuart, sure go buy cheaper version.
The World of Nintendo Bowser of course scales great with both Its own Mario & SH figuarts Mario.

I have both of these figures and I absolutely LOVE THEM!!😍 I LOVE Bowser!
I like the World of Nintendo bowser more
agree
Coincidentally World of Nintendo makes 2.5 inch figures too that would go with the SH Bowser.
He beeeg

the reason you can remove bowsers head is to reenact luigi's mansion king boo bowser when his head falls off (jk)
WHOA! I can do that?!...

Will you do a size comparison with bowser and godzilla
+Meadeslemicah Are you going to Godzilla Night 5 on July 30 at the San Leandro Historic Bal Theatre? I live in the Bay Area so I am going.
I wanted to, but got work on Saturdays >_

Thanks again Vek! True, needs that gritty look. :P
when u took off bowsers head it reminded me of the final boss of __________"i cant say but u guys know":-)
SPRINGBONNIE2HEL luigi's mansion?
Yeah there is only so much poseability you can give to these chunky type characters without looking weird.
Oh so like how like how Warios legs don’t move?

if bandai make the scale right, it should be perfect
I'm a bowser fan but this figure is really small for the price. I miss the articulation on the elbows...but hey it comes with a poophole XD
Do you have any Sonic The Hedgehog figures in your collection?
world of Nintendo bowser started off at a price point of 15$
I was informed of that. I didn't get it during the initial release.
Now it's $115 and up apparently...
There is a version of him with mario on ebay 30$

They both have their positives and negatives, but considering the Figuarts one is like $15-20 cheaper than the Jakks one, that is the one to get.
Marcos Kain the walls one is only $15. The figuarts is $65. What are you talking about?
@@SoftEndy probably talking about resell price

Good point!

Jose Luis Cortez Marquez true, articulation could be better, but probably will cause the sculpt to suffer while adding even more cost.

If you are a HUGE bowser fan. The better choice is world of nintendo bowser!
How come no one talks about the toybiz bowser
I wish you compared it with blastiose
My thoughts exactly! Reminds me of my old blastoise figure lol

I think we can go either way depending on what we're looking for. Both have good and bad points, I like them both for those reasons.
