I remember that I went to school with one of the football girls from Nuts. After turning 18 she didn't change how she was normally, but had a completely different personality in front of a camera. We are a month short of the 35 anniversary of the disaster, and for the overwhelming majority of that time the number has been 96. It was 94 after the 15th April, then went up to 96 soon after as a couple of people in comas and / or on life support died.
I was still in primary school in '89 and only went to a few home LFC matches, but I remember the day vividly -it was the first time I ever heard my dad swearing. I remember my parents anxiously phoning round people to see who had gone to the match. If somebody asks me what the Hillsborough death toll was then my answer will also be 96, and then a few minutes later I'll remember that now it is sometimes considered to be 97.
Quibbling over the precise number was not the worst thing about that video post that deserves criticism.

In the original "look at me doing a sexy minute's silence" video, the lady appearing in the clip was getting criticism not only for the inherently distateful use of the tragedy to promote her OF; but also for saying 96 instead of 97, and also for the length of the silent reflection not lasting a whole minute.

I think you sort of brushed upon two things, but 2 major points I think you should have looked into more were
1. Football and p*rn accounts have always been a thing on twitter. I remember back in the day before only fans, there use to always be accounts like football wags or football women, who just showed attractive woman or half naked women in which was only partially related to football.
It use to be very normal for football twitter being just memes, fans complaining (no real big accounts) and then half naked women. It was only around 2016, as the women's game started to grow and the people in those communities started to become older, did football twitter move away from that sort of thing
2. The reason this is so bad is that they're literally marketing themselves to children, to get more long term engagement.
