Portrait Orientation Lock doesn’t simply lock the screen into portrait mode, but whichever orientation you are in when it is activated.

On my iPhone 12 Pro, the time is green when I’m on a phone call and blue when I’m using my phone for a hotspot.
Very Informative. I was searching for Red Dot question.
However, I have a little Red Dot top right above connection status - only when a voice call is active.
Only when phone call active & connected, the call is ringing-red dot. Receive call-red dot.
No apps have access to Mic. I never use it.
I’ve checked Settings, best of my ability.

That just indicates that your microphone is in use, as it would be when you are making a voice call.
How about the time background colour is orange? What does it mean? It follows with orange dot on the upper right too
This means the microphone is in use.
From what content creators are saying about the new iPhone's price point, the symbol $$$ unfortunately is the newest symbol.

Sounds like you are in some app? Try exiting the app back to the Home Screen. That's my guess anyway. Hard to tell without seeing it.

I have an iPhone 15 plus and sometimes I see an orange dot allllll the way on the top right side of my display. I can’t figure out what it is

Not sure what you mean. In the very upper left? On the Lock Screen? Usually that is where you would see your mobile provider's name or graphic. On the Home Screen? Usually you would see the time at the very upper left. Do you mean the little arrow next to the time pointed diagonally? That's the location services indicator. It means iOS and/or some apps are using your location.

No shortcut, just insert it as you would any other symbol or special character.
The problem is I can't find the Ø symbol on my phone. Have you ever seen it? I may not exist. Thanks again, Nick
@@nickboork Will the ø symbol do? (o with stroke) You can get that by tapping the "o" key and holding it down, then selecting the variation. Otherwise you may need to get a third-party keyboard that specializes in symbols or unicode characters. Another option is to add it as a Text Replacement in System Settings on your Mac, like have "diamsym" replaced with Ø and then that syncs with your iPhone and you can type one and it is replaced with the other.

Why is it so impossible to see what you’re pointing to? It’s always indistinct.
Sorry about that. I do show a red dot on the screen (using a mouse) so you can see where I'm tapping.
Why can’t Apple bring back the battery percentage on the upper right corner? The iPhones with buttons have a toggle to give you that feature.
Screen space, I'd imagine. You can still see the percent in Control Center easily. And remember the number is only a rough estimate. Battery chemistry makes such things very inaccurate.
@@macmost Gary, on my old 6 I could toggle between if I wanted to see the picture of the battery or the battery percentage. No reason why they couldn’t do it on the newer phones. Thanks for your videos.

@@macmost On an iMac, right next to the control center icon on the top menu bar, there is a yellow indicator light. Always comes on when watching YT vids.
@@MrWinger1951 Right. I don't see that. But I don't know what you mean by "watching YT vids" -- that could be in theRUclips app, another app, any web browser, etc. Be specific.

@@jaythemachine3845 I thought you were asking why it was there in my video. If you see it, it could indicate any app that may be using screen capture. Perhaps some video conference or sharing app? What do you have going on when you see it? Is your iPhone connected to anything?
