Thanks so much for posting this info on apartment living. It’s great to know there are nice rentals in Short Pump. We plan to rent something in a prospective area prior to buying a house. And 6 months seems like a good amount of time to look, buy, and close. We will definitely use you both. Your videos are extremely informative. You both are awesome!!
You guys are truly the best! I purchased a new build last year and wish I’d found your channel before so I could’ve worked with you. I’m renting while waiting for construction and saw The Flats, but ultimately chose 2000 West Creek in Goochland. Super peaceful with tons of amenities and the best pool. Also just a 5 min drive to Short Pump. You should check them out!
Aww thank you! We actually have clients who are about to be our neighbors and they live in those apartments. They said the same thing and they really like the complex. We would have included those in this video but they just weren't available to see the day we went out to get the video content. So for all those reading the comments be sure to check out 2000 West Creek too! I also love the proximity to Hardywood...it would be an issue haha!
Hi KD, I am moving to Richmond soon and 2000 west creek is also on my radar. I saw that there is a property and a couple of bars in the walking distance and nothing else. Does this bother you? And since it's by the highway, can you hear noise at night? And is it safe to walk late evenings say 9-10 pm? Since you are living there I would love to hear from you.
@@bikalpudasaini9437 Welcome to Richmond! I absolutely loved living at West Creek and we only left because we purchased a home. However, there’s honestly nothing in walking distance except Hardwood brewery, so I wouldn’t consider it a walkable area. But it’s such a super short drive to all of the amenities, restaurants and bars in Short Pump (6-7 min drive). There’s also Tuckahoe Village with a couple strip malls and smaller restaurants just 5 mins away in the opposite direction. I highly recommend if you’re good with a peaceful, quiet community with quick access to all the action!
Thanks for the quick reply. I saw a lot of reviews saying it's not well managed lately after new management took over. I do like the peaceful environment. I loved the layout of the apartment.
We have been asking each place we go to about if they offer any executive rentals or short term & furnished rentals. Most of the apartments don't offer them specifically, but they "partner" with a furniture rental company that they refer you to and you essentially pay that furniture rental company to create your own furnished rental. We are currently working on a Glen Allen apartment video and we found one apartment complex that offered leases as short as 2 month and they partner with a company called Corts for short term furniture rentals. The apartment complex is the Addison at Wyndham.
That's tough. I am 37 and married with 2 kids and we LOVE the Short Pump area. While I can't speak to the exact stats, I would say that from a dating aspect Scott's Addition may be a better fit since Short Pump is more suburban, ie more families. I would hold off on making that final decision until you visit the area and explore both. They will each have their own unique pros & cons. Parking will be more difficult in Scott's Addition but you will have more walkability and obviously better proximity to the city's nightlife. Short Pump has a lot of what the city has to offer (lots of 2nd & 3rd locations for restaurants that started in the city have opened up in Short Pump). There isn't a wrong answer in the mix to be honest, just which one is the best. - Taylor
@@LivingInRichmondVirginia Thank you so much for reply! I've been leaning towards Scott's Addition at places like the Otis. I am tired of suburbia and I do love city vibes so i might try out a lease somewhere over there. Thank you again!
We have never lived in them so I don't have any real insight into that. I would probably jump onto Google and check out reviews to see if anyone complains about that, but I would imagine being a newer apartment building that it would at least be quieter than older apartments.
I know that they exist in Richmond but I don't have any specific insight to them. We made this video to help our relocation clients know where they can live here in RVA prior to buying a home, but Sarah and I don't work the rental market.

Thank you so much! We definitely saw a need for this type of video and we have a few more in the works too.
@@LivingInRichmondVirginia We're looking forward to seeing them.
Great videos 👏👏👏
Thank you!

Thank you for the detailed information. Do you have any recommended sites where I can check on different apartments since I am from the PH?
Can you guys focus on higher end executive rentals in the preferred RVA areas?

For a single 34M, would you guys recommend the shortpump neighborhood or Scotts Addition? I'll be relocating to Richmond in August, FYI.

How are the noise inside The Flats apartment ? I do not mind during the day but how is it at night? Thank you

do you know any apartments or houses that take section 8
