    BTW helpful tip: if you change vdb volume to object mode (click hold model button on left upper side of screen and select object) you can scale the cloud like normal object with scale tool.
    Thx for the great tutorial

    learned so much from this thank you! Messing with all of the forester details and the plane effector for scattering was a huge help. Can most of the post be done in photoshop as well? is there a reason you choose AE?

    • @JoshPierce
      @JoshPierce  5 лет назад +1

      Yes, PS is a fine option, and I think i mentioned in the video if you use PS it's easier to do things like masking off the planet. Though I started off in Photoshop I'm just more comfortable this days working in AE.

    Hey there Josh! Thank you so much for your tutorials!!
    I just bought the collection6 of rd texture and I dont found the way to install them on the content browser. Im getting crazy, can you please help me?
    Thank you, and shout out from Madrid!

    • @amokdesign
      @amokdesign 4 года назад

      just drag them into the content browser after you open them, also create your own folder inside the content browser, so you can start and create your own library.
      but it will get huge over time, so have enough space on your drive.

    Love the tutorial, really really good, i learned a lot. One question. Why do you use AE for the post processing? why not Photoshop?

    • @cgnomazoid
      @cgnomazoid 5 лет назад +1

      A lot of VFX guys use it even for stills, it’s a little quicker if you’re looking to do a simple mask job or color correction. Most of photoshop is hidden in submenu under submenu but AE has a super nice pallette of effects just sitting there waiting to be applied. Precomping is also less destructive and more versatile than rasterizing. Just my opinions. Also this guy uses Videocopilot Saber for laser effects which isn’t available :) hope that helps
