That kick in the balls was just epic. I just love how it looks clumsy and awkward a bit, but we all know it gets the job done. Imho that was the great contribution of BL to martial arts movies, he understood both street fighting and traditional martial arts and understood how to make a fight look both real and good for the cameras. I mean that fight with Chuck Norris until today is probably one of the most realistic fights put on film.
I talked to Bob Wall a few years ago and asked him about that kick. It was real enough, he took the shot to get the shot, so to speak. Obviously, Bruce wasn't hitting or kicking him with full power or anything, but they did a lot of full-contact (see Return of the Dragon also - most of those shots in the beach fight are real hits, especially the one to the chest that makes dust fly off. That was a bit of a harder kick than the others)
Most realistic? I'm giving that to They Live! for showing how a fight between non-professionals starts off somewhat technical, but after a couple of minutes of being amped up they're just _gassed._
All the goons are paid to get a beating from Bruce lee by director all these fights are never possible in real life......... That guy in the right fell by no physical contact.... They are just playing their part.......
I think Bruce died of exhaustion. He worked his body so much and he rarely slept. Too much of anything is bad and I think he just over worked his body that it took its toll. Here on RUclips is a video of a man who tried to do what Bruce Lee did. He worked out every day but much less hours. He was as ripped and strong as Bruce but then started feeling weak. Went to see the doctor and he told him to stop exercising because its going to kill him. To this day he still is pretty weak. So that's probably the most likely scenario that took place.
@MyGun4hire He had. They werent recorded though as people at that time didnt like to brag or denounce others (lots of saving face). @@12floz67 I accept he didn't have many recorded real fights but he did fight Wong Jack Man a Kung Fu Grandmaster and beat him with in 3 minutes. The challenge was put to Bruce to prevent him from teaching martial arts to non- Chinese students. Though he won in 3 minutes Bruce felt that the style he used (Wing Chun) wasn't effective enough to end the fight sooner so he created his own style Jeet Kune Do. I'd say for him to achieve this would mean he wasn't pretending, but I wasn't there just going on whats been documented. 👍🏼
For me the most impressive thing is Bruce Lee's incredible punching speed at the start of the fight, when he and O'Hara have their hands up against each other. What makes it even more impressive is that Lee was so quick while holding his strike back a bit (as he was not trying to actually hit Robert Wall full on) and I'm pretty sure the film was not speeded up either.
I think someone mentioned that one reason why Bruce managed to kick peoples ass was that he got abnormal longer arm for a small frame body like his. This is why he got an advantage to hit people first in the face but still obtain a small frame body so that it is harder to hit him.

He is human if u spend time embracing where u wanna go & setting aside distractions Always set on one course (long term course) it possible to accomplish more in little time So ithink that how he managed 👍
What Ivan is saying is absolutely true. When they filmed the Green Hornet, they had to have Bruce intentionally slow some of his movements so they could be seen on camera. The Camera speed was not fast enough to capture some of his strikes at all !!!
That Speed and that Power!! Only Bruce Lee. Saying he is Phenomenal is not enough. This man was wayyyyy ahead of his time and on level so different that the scales have yet to be created.
Bruce Lee fatal neck stomp facial expression is me taking a shit on porcelain throne after eating 6 taco bell chalupas with their signature hot sauce lol
I was blown away when I first saw this movie, and especially this scene. People are gonna argue forever about whether Bruce was dangerous in real life, but as an action actor he was awesome.
Totally agreed! Think personally that it 's not necessary to know how dangerous he was. He was very skilled and a true ambassador of the martial arts and movies about it. Also het founded Jeet-Kun-Do ,so he knew apparently a lot of this matter
MusicforMe123 Had a coworker who grew up in the country but spent his summers in Chicago. He said after Bruce’s movies, any way they could figure to put two sticks together for nunchucks, they would do it.
Bruce Lee's bobbed hair is very iconic and is a fashion trend even today, and yeah bad sound mastering makes it look like fighter jets flying over the fighting arena.
Actually it was alright for film but in reality, no fight is a one kick or punch event. Most attacks are multiple kicks, moves and punches in succession.
Do yourself a favor and look up the real reason that they used different film. Yes because it didn’t capture the punches but once they changed it out it wasn’t a problem.
No-one comes close to Bruce. He was what he was on screen. I think the legend will live on for eternity.

Always set on one course (long term course) it possible to accomplish more in little time
So ithink that how he managed 👍

For this scene, Master Bruce Lee had to move his hands to half speed to show them on the screen. That´s Ultra High Velocity, my friend!
Every time Buce Lee hits Rusia and Usa compete for the fastest jet title
What Ivan is saying is absolutely true. When they filmed the Green Hornet, they had to have Bruce intentionally slow some of his movements so they could be seen on camera. The Camera speed was not fast enough to capture some of his strikes at all !!!
@@seeratlasdtyria4584 same thing with Jet Li in LW4 and cam tech was way better then too 😳

Bruce Lee demonstrates "emotional content".
That Speed and that Power!! Only Bruce Lee.
Saying he is Phenomenal is not enough. This man was wayyyyy ahead of his time and on level so different that the scales have yet to be created.
What power? He’s literally hitting nothing
❤
It’s a movie…
Bruce Lee fatal neck stomp facial expression is me taking a shit on porcelain throne after eating 6 taco bell chalupas with their signature hot sauce lol
I can’t breath
I was blown away when I first saw this movie, and especially this scene. People are gonna argue forever about whether Bruce was dangerous in real life, but as an action actor he was awesome.
Totally agreed! Think personally that it 's not necessary to know how dangerous he was. He was very skilled and a true ambassador of the martial arts and movies about it. Also het founded Jeet-Kun-Do ,so he knew apparently a lot of this matter
@@Rob4617 I truly believe that in his weight class he was probably pretty bad ass.
Bruce lee was a dangerous mother fucker. Make no mistake!!
Dude in real life he was an awesome devoted family man who loved to teach others self defence.
@@korozive3687 he certainly was awesome.
The sound quality sounds like a fighter jet doing aerial maneuvers
LOL, was gonna comment that, soo accurate
Really true
Yeah
Bruce Lee is nothing less than fighter plane...
I think that's why they are using that kinda sound effect...
Could it be a meteorite flying by ?
2:34 brucey looking back "you gone disrespect me like that? Ohhh imma whip that ass now!"
I was in a theatre when I saw the first punch, the entire audience went said oh sh*t, the speed of that first punch is still amazing to watch.
@Nex Wex 3 There were many times when I knocked my head with those nunchucks and I know many people who grew up during that era also did as well.
@@MusicforMe123 многие люди во всём мире )
MusicforMe123 Had a coworker who grew up in the country but spent his summers in Chicago. He said after Bruce’s movies, any way they could figure to put two sticks together for nunchucks, they would do it.
Ž x💝😉💕💘😏🔰
Bruce Lee's bobbed hair is very iconic and is a fashion trend even today, and yeah bad sound mastering makes it look like fighter jets flying over the fighting arena.

Bruce Lee you are a winner and keep up with the good work and you are the truth
What a wonderful and brilliant fight scene. Thanks for shared.
Actually it was alright for film but in reality, no fight is a one kick or punch event. Most attacks are multiple kicks, moves and punches in succession.
The guy at 1:05 taught The Rock “The People’s Eyebrow”

His speed, was off the charts!
This is Bruce, slowed down. The camera couldn't catch it, in time.
He was so fast, you just couldn't believe it.
Do yourself a favor and look up the real reason that they used different film. Yes because it didn’t capture the punches but once they changed it out it wasn’t a problem.
The Balance, Accuracy, Speed in his kicks are PURE LEGENDARY.

What's more impressive than the fight, is that the other fighters clap so fast you can hear the wind they generate.
Awesome! His expression when he jumps and kills the guy is ageless! Good times when I was a kid.
