WBADS was a truly impressive film for its time, beautifully animated. A bunch of animated movies from the late ‘80s and early ‘90s were, in whole or in part, set in NYC, but this one fits the city’s vibe the most. Before there was Hogarth Hughes in The Iron Giant, there was Louie. He’s basically if you took Hogarth and made him wittier, tougher, more streetwise, and Italian-American. I love the scene transition with a random panoramic shot of early-morning Manhattan looking westward across the East River with the silhouettes of the skyscrapers and the ambience of traffic. This is right before Elsa and Louie’s flight through the city, which is similar to The Rescuers Down Under when Cody and Marahute fly together, only this one is better.
Im happy to see you make this video. There are so many times I really like a movie, just to find out everyone is being unnecessarily critical about it.

I'm remember that movie about We're Back a Dinosaur Story, and I tried hard to laugh at Elsa who in love with Rex and Louie has a crush on Cecilia, it's given me goosebumps. And it's not a crush.
A few animated movies I loved that everyone seems to hate are Planet 51, Shark Tale, and Ralph Breaks the Internet. I also like some of the old direct to video Disney sequels.
I really like the first ice age what kind of loses me in the sequels. I really love the brother/buddy dynamic between all three guys raising the baby. Dad and I used to watch it all the time good memories😊
I honestly am the same for all of these movies and always FORGET there are those who don't like these movies. Also I would be member number 1 in that group of Sinbad movie lovers with ya Brian 🙋. I do want to add and say that the one movie I love and everyone else hates that I am possibly a lone ranger in loving....is Ryan Renald's Green Lanturn. Yes I said it! 1 I love the concept of them using CGI for the costume because it's SUPPOSED to be made of energy and it just adds a layer of realism for me that it LOOKS like energy 🤷. Also I love it specifically becuause it was my introdution to Green Lanturn and I LOVE the idea of a ring that can create anything you can imagine. It always breaks my heart to see the teaser at the ending for a seaquel that will never be 😢
We're Back was my kids go to movie, we all loved it. Ice Age's are all fun to watch. Legends of the Guardians seemed long winded to start, but when the story took off it was special.
I had a lifelong version of this. Dinosaur is one of my favorite movies ever but growing up, I didn’t know many people who liked it outside of my family. When the Internet came around and I got free run of it by the end of the 2000’s, I still didn’t really find many people who liked it or had seen it that much. Then in this decade, when Schafrillas said it was the worst Disney movie he’d ever seen, I saw much more hatred for the movie online. It was very odd to me to see somebody so harshly hate something I grew up loving and it genuinely upset me that day and for a good while. Luckily, I’ve slowly seen a little more positive reception to it as time has gone on.
@ yes but they paled in comparison to the figures of Baylene, Bruton, Eema, and the Lemurs. And the mainline action toy of Aladar, Kron, Url, and the Carnotaurs
Your friend probably read the Guardians of Ga’hoole books. The movie was fun, and the animation was gorgeous. But it also wasn’t the books. To be fair, Dominic Noble said that if the adaptation had been completely faithful to the books, it might have been rated R. And with how graphic the books could be, I think that might be right. I liked both but the books were better. When I was a kid I saw Home on the Range and thought it was really funny. Re-watched it as an adult, I didn’t like it as much. But I can also see why little me liked it. It’s just goofy insanity all the way through, and little me LOVED that kind of thing.
I don’t know if they were hated but I loved Sinbad, Furngully, Quest For Camelot, and Bartok the Magnificent. A bunch of animated films I love but I don’t hear a lot about
My least favorite thing about We're Back was the children in it were not in the original book...which I had as a child in the 1980s. But the villain wasn't in the original book either.
I'm kind of a king of hot takes in some places. For example, when it comes to Danny Phantom, the series finale is perhaps the most hated episode, but I consider it my favorite. And in general, what most people complain about, I don't, but what most people don't complain about, I would.
I mean for me “9” is one of my favorite movies it’s very underrated, but the rep for the movie is not great but if you give it a watch, in my opinion I feel like it was well put together.
Y’know, Brian, with every movie you’ve listed here, it got me thinking about one that’s had a certain fanbase divided between those who like it and those who dislike it, a movie that is on the way to celebrating twenty-five years since its premiere. I’m talking, of course, about “Thomas and The Magic Railroad”. Now, I can understand why some people didn’t and continue not to like it, considering how it lacks railway realism, the story’s all over the place, there are hardly any people on the Island of Sodor working with the engines, save for the human characters that arrive on Sodor from Shining Time and only the mentions of Sir Topham Hatt, and the magic added to the movie itself doesn’t fit the image of the Rev. W. Awdry, the author of the Railway Series books where Thomas the Tank Engine came from in the first place. But I’d be lying if I said I couldn’t see any charm to it that made half the Thomas fandom love it. The way Britt Allcroft (may she rest in peace 🙏🏻) produced this movie and worked hands on with the actors shouts out how much love and fun was put into the production of it, and the way the two worlds connect with each other, between “Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends” and “Shining Time Station,” the latter being the TV show that introduced American audiences to Thomas the Tank Engine in the first place, is just… charming and entertaining. Undeniably flawed, but still charming and entertaining. Coming from a guy who grew up with Thomas through Shining Time Station, it truly feels like a labor of love that, while flawed, is still fun to watch. And with The Railway Series entering its 80th anniversary, I cannot recommend the whole brand, itself, enough to newcomers of all ages, including you, Brian. I know you didn’t grow up with Thomas the Tank Engine, but if you give it a try, you might enjoy it. And even if you don’t, that’s okay, too, I understand that Thomas isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but I still encourage you to at least give it a try. I’m Andrew Hager, and this has been my ThomTalk.
I liked the dinosaur cartoon movie i grew up with it too. I liked the animation look. I would probably like watching it again if I can get ahold of it.
The first Ice Age movie is GREAT, I just feel like there's WAAAAAY too many sequels that really just fall off in quality. Also Eris from Sinbad is a BADDIE 😅
All of these movies expect for the Ice Age films, that I honestly didn’t watch because they just never interested me, I have never seen . I never knew there was a Happy Feet Two or that any of these other movies existed. For We’re Back! A Dinosaur Story, that came out before I was born and then Sinbad was released in 2003 so I was too young to see it. Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole just went pass my radar I guess cause I don’t remember seeing one trailer for that movie.
I love all of these movies. I grew up with Sinbad and We are Back. I love the Ice Age franchise, I seriously love the first Happy Feet movie and didn't particularly liked Happy Feet 2. When I first saw the Legend of the Guardians I instantly fell in love with the movie; not just the story line but also the plot, the characters and the underlying lesson of the story. All around the movie was amazing.
I'm surprised that Ice Age is on this list. I loved the Ice Age too and yes, I only seen the first one like billions of times and never got tired of it... just like the lion king.
I whole-heartedly agree with Ice Age, Happy Feet Two, and the FANTASTIC movie the Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole! First off with Ice Age, I have always loved those movies, and I'm with you, every single one. The characters were so fun to get to know, and grow up with. Diego and Shira have to be my favorite characters from the movies, because well.. how could I not love saber tooth tigers?? Second, their design was on point, and three, I loved watching them so much in the movies, I really wish they got their own TV show and not the main focus be on Scrat. Sure, he was funny at some points, and somehow fit with the plot in these movies, but.. why? Next up is Happy Feet Two. Now, I'm a being that really loved the first one, so a sequel was just what I was waiting for, and they did not disappoint, let me tell you. I agree with all of the points that you made, but one of my favorite parts was the "Under Pressure" cover if you will they did at the end. The amount of chills I got from that scene was insane, and I still watch it to this day. Now, to get on to what I think is one of the most legendary and iconic movies of all time, hence the title, the Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole. I can not express how much I love this movie into words, so I will try. I first saw it in 2023, not too long ago unfortunately, and I regret not knowing about this sooner. I mainly didn't know, because I've never heard of the book series until I was introduced to the movie, and I instantly fell in love it. The story, the plot, the characters, the MUSIC. I'm a sucker for soundtrack music, and this movie went all the way. My favorite scene was with Soren flying through the lightning in slow motion, and the music turns into this beautiful, chilling piece, and AHHH! I love it so much. Definitely worth the watch, and I really want to read the books at some point.
1. I liked treasure planet, mostly because of a song by the guy from Goo Goo Dolls I never watched Sinbad, but I felt that it would be better if it was voice by sinbad
Ice Age was an Awesome Movie (in fact, I can even would like a Crossover Movie between Ice Age and Jurassic World, The Scientists have enough to make so many Dinosaurs so they decided to bring back alive a Wooly Mammoth, The Crossover that no one expects but very interesting and fun to see it happening)
I had seen the first Ice Age in theaters when I was a kid and I loved it. I also had the first two movies on DVD a few years later and I watched them quite often. Those first two movies I think will always be the best of the franchise. I can even say that the third movie was really good too, but you won’t ever convince me to watch Continental Drift, Collision Course and Adventures of Buck Wild.
5: Meet the Robinsons. I thought it was a good movie but i just don't see why there is so much hate towards it. It's literally a movie about a boy who wants to find his family. But later finds out that he has his own family in the future. 4: The Wild. At first I didn't think much about it from just seeing the trailers. But after giving it a watch, it has much deeper meaning. Plus Samson telling Ryan his backstory how he wasn't from the wild. He was a circus lion that was disowned by his father as a cub. 3: The Adventures of Tintin. Based on a series of comics by the artist Herge´. Steven Spilburg got the idea to make a movie when he read some of the books. I never read them because they were before my time. But after watching the movie I thought it was great. 2: Monster House. A very underrated film. The amazing thing about this movie is that the director made a wish list of all the actors he wanted in Monster House. And to the studios and the producers amazment he got every actor on his first choice. But what I think makes this film so cool is the motion caputre technology they put into it. 1: Ready Player One. Oh man. This movie literally was the coolest ever. There were so many things that were in this movie that I love. And every time I watch it I can see new Easter Eggs.
I agreed with most of this list too, I love Sinbad Legend of the Seven Seas in my older sister and I had a blast watching this movie we watched at least 4 or 5 times on the DVD we had, it was such a fun movie to watch! And We're Back was my sister and I's childhood, grew up loving this film XD it was one of the few Don Bluth films we adored as kids and even though it does have a lot of flaws, it still holds a special place in our hearts. Happy Feet 2 was pretty fun too, sure I liked the first one more but the second was still a lot of fun all the same. ;3 And I remember watching Legend of the Guardians Owls of Ga'Hoole in the theater, again with my older sister and we enjoyed it! Another fun filled adventure that was dark but interesting, and felt like it was pulled straight from a storybook and onto the big screen. And as far as Ice Age goes, I only liked the first one X3 but I did enjoy 2 and 3 but the first Ice Age in my books is still the best one and always captures my heart. But nonetheless this was a good list and thanks for sharing!
I admit that I haven't ever seen Guardians of Ga'hoole or Happy Feet Two (HATED the first one) and I saw Sinbad once as a kid and liked it a lot. I kind of got tired of Ice Age.
I love how you used Adrial Fair's music in your video!!!
I LOVE the Ice Age movies!! I even had an involuntary fanfic dream about it in college, and remembered it so well I made some art about it!
I love the ice age films
Same
love your videos, ice age I grew up with, The first ice age is great
Happy saturday afternoon, Brian, take care and God bless you. Greetings from Colombia to you as well
Home is one of my favorites that most people hate ❤
Did you have one of the villain dinosaur hand puppets?? I wore the crap out of mine lol
@ yes but they paled in comparison to the figures of Baylene, Bruton, Eema, and the Lemurs. And the mainline action toy of Aladar, Kron, Url, and the Carnotaurs
I didn't know they even made a second Happy Feet! Might have to look that up. Really, I'll have to try them all.
I agree with 4/5 of the movies because I have yet to see Happy Feet 2. and I have a We're Back VHS tape.
I don’t know if they were hated but I loved Sinbad, Furngully, Quest For Camelot, and Bartok the Magnificent. A bunch of animated films I love but I don’t hear a lot about
In ice age i love it and so do my friends so were on your side how does someone not like ice age
Happy Feet 2 was probably my favorite out of the two when i was little-
My least favorite thing about We're Back was the children in it were not in the original book...which I had as a child in the 1980s.
What about the 2000 movie Dinosaur, or the Dinotopia movies? It feels like people don't know they exist but I loved them😄
I mean for me “9” is one of my favorite movies it’s very underrated, but the rep for the movie is not great but if you give it a watch, in my opinion I feel like it was well put together.
Omg we're back... i loved so much Rex ❤
LOVE Guardians of Ga'hoole! Read the Books AND watched the Movie as a Die Hard Fan when I was a kid!
I liked the dinosaur cartoon movie i grew up with it too. I liked the animation look. I would probably like watching it again if I can get ahold of it.
We're back was LITERALLY my all time favorite movie I watched it so many times it broke in my VCR I have such a fond memory of that movie ;U;
The first Ice Age movie is GREAT, I just feel like there's WAAAAAY too many sequels that really just fall off in quality.
Also Eris from Sinbad is a BADDIE 😅
You’re literally naming all the movies I love so much 😂
All of these movies expect for the Ice Age films, that I honestly didn’t watch because they just never interested me, I have never seen .
Yes! Finally! Someone who shows love to Guardians of Ga’Hoole! And We’re Back! I absolutely love those movies! 😊
Mine are definitely Wish and Lightyear and also Emoji movie. I was obsessed and still am obsessed with Lightyear and wish
You should do a video about disney sequel movies people hate but you love.
Also is that a keyblade in the background? I have Kirk's and love to mess around with it❤
lol I meant to say kiri's and the autocorrect messed it up a d I hated that
I think mine are the good dinosaur, atlantis the lost empire, the illumination grinch movie (😅) hotel transylvania 4, and the ghibli earthsea movie
1. I liked treasure planet, mostly because of a song by the guy from Goo Goo Dolls I never watched Sinbad, but I felt that it would be better if it was voice by sinbad
I love sinbad:legend of the seven seas even now
Ice Age was an Awesome Movie (in fact, I can even would like a Crossover Movie between Ice Age and Jurassic World, The Scientists have enough to make so many Dinosaurs so they decided to bring back alive a Wooly Mammoth, The Crossover that no one expects but very interesting and fun to see it happening)
and I can see The Funny part is maybe Chris Pratt’s character said Manny is fat and then Manny kicked him, like a little taped
and I think it would called “Jurassic World: The Ice Age Carnage”
Great Video Brian and I Grew Up With We’re Back A Dinosaur Story So You’re Not Alone 😊
I love the Owls of Ga’Hoole! I read the books when I was in middle school.
I watched Guardians. Gorgeous, gorgeous animation and yes, Geoffrey Rush was the best character...but so hard to follow
I love happy feet it’s my all time favorite movie it’s so cute and makes me fall in love with penguins and I also like ice age
5. I’ve never seen this movie, but I can see how it’s an underrated classic
0:28 U're not only on this one I LOVED this movie as a kid.
Request: Dreamworks, Disney, and Pixar sing Viva La Vida
Hey Brian!! I LOVE the Ice Age Movies and the Owls of Ga'hoole was GORGEOUSLY BEAUTIFUL and I don't hate any of the other 3 either!
SINBAD! MY FULL ON FAV! GREAT PICKS!
I LOVE "We're Back!"!!
Happy Feet 2 was pretty fun too, sure I liked the first one more but the second was still a lot of fun all the same. ;3
And I remember watching Legend of the Guardians Owls of Ga'Hoole in the theater, again with my older sister and we enjoyed it!
Yes I’m glad you’re on my team for sinbad
I was a fan of Sinbad and We’re Back a Dinosaur Story, and as far as I’m concerned, I still am
I love Sinbad it’s amazing. I will watch the Ice Age movies with my husband. My husband might not watch Sinbad with me and stay awake but idk.
"Give that guy a raise...."😂
I FULLY ENJOY all these movies though I have no opinion on the "We're Back" movie because I've never seen it before.
I admit that I haven't ever seen Guardians of Ga'hoole or Happy Feet Two (HATED the first one) and I saw Sinbad once as a kid and liked it a lot. I kind of got tired of Ice Age. They were good movies just so many of them. We're Back is so awesome! I watched that so many times when I was a kid and I still remember it to this day!
Sinbad is easily in my top 3 Dreamworks movies! It’s a lot of fun
I don’t love the cheating plot line, but the animation and feel of adventure are great 💕
