As someone who struggles with anxiety and depression this band really speaks to me
As someone who struggled with addiction for 20 years, this song is a reminder of why I stopped. That and it's a freakin kick ass song from a kick ass band.
One of my favorite songs...they are amazing live...they quickly became my favorite band after seeing them for the first time
I am so grateful that somewhere on the other end of the world in a mysterious Vermont, there are these guys, who sing exactly what you need to listen when you feel blue
I first learned of them when they opened for Alison Krause and Willy Nelson a few years back. I was fortunate to meet them later that same night where I bought two of their CDs. Fun group, great bar band but this song in particular really hits a nerve. It's like it was written by every alcoholic, every addict or anyone who simply blew every opportunity they had in life. It's real and it's powerful in an understated way...…..haunting and so well done.

Everybody has their favorite version of this. I loved the one at Bonnaroo but it was taken down. Great song

I see that they have a way more hipster look in this video, lol. Normally they look a lot less civilized. Seems like they slowed down the song a bit and changed the style of it a bit as well. Needless to say I love this band and everything they do.
Did you see the upload of their 2018 concert in Philly? One of the best performances from anyone I’ve seen. They also play the entire show with a fiddler and a drummer. The venue acoustics, sound mix, and video capture are all ace.
